"Come on (your name)!!! Battle me!"

"Barryyyyyyyyyyyyyy, I just battled Gardina! Let me go to the Pokémon center, buy a few healing items, and train my team first!"

"Nooooooo! I wanna battle now!"

That's Barry for ya, always in a rush. You were extremely underleveled And barely skimmed by Gardina. If you didn't have Staravia on your team you'd be screwed. Yeesh.

"Barry, please. Can you wait for once?"

"But if we don't battle now I won't  get the chance!"

You sighed.

"Look, hows about we do something besides battling?"

"Like What?"

He mocked your tone of voice annoyingly. He knew it got on your nerves. He knew a lot about you, being childhood friends (sweethearts would be too extreme because he doesn't know of your secret crush on him) and all.

"Why don't we... go to a cafe? My treat."

"Ooh! Cafe! I love coffee!"

"I never would have guessed..."

Your sarcastic remark earned you a:

"HEY!!!"

You couldn't help but smirk. You knew what made him tick. You were practically his lifelong girlfriend!

"Come on. Since you're in such a rush we can just head over there after I hit the Pokémon center."

You were sitting across from Barry with a black tea in your grasp. He was sipping down yet another shot of espresso. He claimed it to be he was depresso about you rejecting his battle request. You knew he just loved coffee.

"So is there any cute girls you met on your journey so far, Barry?"

"Other than you? Nah."

You nodded and then realization hit you like a wild Ponytail charge.

"Wait WHAT!? I'm a cute girl?!"

He blankly stared at you, blinked, and then spoke to you like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Duh. I only am this persistent with cute girls like you. That's why I always want to battle you. But you're soooooooo slooooooow! Just a little quirk I don't mind fixing."

"EH!?"

"The way you overreact is Super cute! Wait, so we weren't dating in kindergarten? I thought you were my girlfriend. Huh, I guess I should have confirmed that with ya."

Your head was swimming.

"So we're dating?"

"Unless you got a problem. Come on! I just finished that Shot!"

The way he said that made it sound like acohol...

"Then why are you taking your time? That's...not like you."

"I know you hate rushing when it comes To important things. Besides, I don't feel the need. Everyhting with you is already perfect!"

He gave you his energetic smile like normal.

"Then why don't we go together? Like, around Sinnoh?"

"You're slow! Don't look at me like that! You'll make me want to kiss you!"

"Then why not?"

He grumbled and you smirked. He then crashed his lips into yours. Hasty too, you could feel him letting go emotions and urges he was holding back.

You could get used to that, though.
