Remus walked up on the doorstep, and set his bags down on the door. "Not too bad." He looked around at the blue house with a red door, and the large yard, and rang the doorbell.
"Hey, you must be Remus," A man who looked about 22 answered, and looked Remus up and down, "Name's Sirius."
"Well, can I come in?" Remus asked and Sirius let him in. Sirius had long-ish black hair, and was about 5'11, and was quite attractive.
"So, where am I staying?" Remus asked, looking around the entryway. From what Remus could see, it was a very open house.
"Prongs claimed the master, and I'm upstairs. You're upstairs also."
"Prongs?" Very questionable name choice.
"Well, his name's James, but Prongs is his nickname."
"How do you get a nickname like Prongs?"
"Long story involving one too many drinks and a deer family in our backyard."
"Hey Padfoot. Got the new roommate?" Remus looked up and over the ledge was another guy with glasses and spiky hair.
"Yeah, what are you doing up there?"
"I was totally not just in your room." James joked.
"You're a terrible liar."
"Shut up, Pads," He walked down the stairs, and toward Remus, and held out his hand, "Nice to meet you, new roommate."
"Thank you for letting me live here."
"Well it was better than the alternative. I do not want an apartment, and especially not if I have to share a room with Sirius. He snores. Loudly."
"Hey!"
They walked upstairs.
"And to the left is the ugly green paint from the eighties. And to the right is a view of the entryway," Sirius pointed to the forest green walls, and acted like a tour guide. Remus could easily tell that Sirius and James were both a little childish.
James joined in with a "And now that we're at the top, look ahead and see down into the living room and kitchen. And to your left is Sirius's wreck of a room. The bathroom and your bedroom is at the end of the hall."
"Thanks." Remus grabbed the duffel bags by his feet and walked across the house to his room. It was relatively small with a twin bed in the corner by a window. "Not much to look at." He joked as he set the bag down and started putting stuff away.
"Need some help?" Sirius asked as he leaned on the doorway of my room, a few minutes later.
"I'm good," Remus replied, and then Sirius decided to walk over the pile of sweaters, knocking some over, and flop down on the bed, "Well, you didn't have to be counterproductive."
"So, where you from?" Sirius asked.
"I studied in California, so it's my first time here in anywhere that gets below 50°. So, how about you?"
"Well, I went to school in that private school up the way. My parents live in Newport, so it's kind of annoying. I want to be free of them, but working at Starbucks doesn't pay that well and my parents are my main source of income."
"Strict, I'm assuming?" Remus asks, while grabbing another hanger out of the closet.
"Doesn't even cover it."
I looked outside at the darkening sky. "You know when's dinner?"
"Nope. Peter's out of town, so we're waiting for someone to call for pizza."
