"Hello, and seeing as it's too miserable to go outside, we are just going to, you know, hang out." Sirius commentated, over the sound of rain outside. It had heated up a bit in the past week, and Thanksgiving was a couple days before, so they couldn't spend their time preparing for that.
"How about we have a Christmas karaoke competition?" James suggested. "You guy'd love that," he spoke to the camera, as if he was talking to the fans.
"No more Christmas music," Remus complained in an exhausted voice, like he just ran a marathon. Though Remus doubted he could run a marathon. Maybe a half marathon. No, that was too long, perhaps a five-K. No, a mile. Remus could probably run a mile, if he went slow enough.
Sirius pouted, his shoulder sagging, and heaved a sigh that was too loud to be a natural sigh. "You're no fun."
"You two decided to wake up at twelve in the morning the day after Thanksgiving to blast "All I Want For Christmas Is You," and didn't stop playing it for five hours. Forgive me for being just a little sick of the Christmas music," Remus complained.
"Hey, I'm not the one who stopped us from listening to Christmas music until Thanksgiving." Sirius put his arms up in defense. Remus heard the little jingle of the bell on the end of the Santa hat that Sirius was wearing. All four of them had a hat on, actually, but Sirius was the only one who had a bell on his.
"Because it's still fall up until that point. You don't go on beach trips and drink lemonade in May, do you?" He asked.
"Technically it's fall up until December 21," James pointed out.
"Yes, I know, but I'm talking about the societal depictions of when seasons start, not the literal ones. To a large majority of the population, summer starts when school gets out, fall starts when school gets back in, winter starts the day after Thanksgiving, and spring starts," Remus thought about it for a moment, to him the line dividing Winter and Spring has always been blurry, due to living in a place where the climate was the same all year long, and there's no major holidays around that time period. "March-ish," he guessed.
James shrugged. "Fair enough." He leaned back against the blank brown wall of the basement, they had never bothered to put anything in the large room in the basement, despite it being a finished basement.
"What should we do, then?" Peter asked.
"I don't know, something. The people watching this aren't going to want to listen to Remus rant the entire time," Sirius pointed out.
"What, would they rather listen to you gloating about how amazing you are?" Remus asked.
"Hey, you're lucky to have me, I am amazing," He bragged.
Remus glanced over at Peter, who was on his phone. James must've noticed it as well, because he said "Dude. Seriously?"
"I'm looking for ideas on what to talk about!" He protested. "All right, one fan bets that Sirius can do a backflip. That true?" Peter looked up from his phone.
"I used to be able to do one. Don't think so anymore, but I can try!" He exclaimed. "All right, five, six, seven, eight!" he yelled as he got into position to flip.
"And we are not doing that," Remus said, grabbing onto Sirius' shoulders, stopping him.
"Why not?" He asked.
"There's concrete under this carpet, and there's a pretty good chance that you'd land on your head, and if you do, you'd get a concussion at best," Remus pointed out.
Sirius shrugged. "Worst?" The bell on his hat jingled as he shrugged.
James flopped on the floor and made dramatic choking noises, like he was dying, and went still.
