Everyone has an addiction to something. It's a fact of life.

Sometimes it's bad, with things like drugs and alcohol, things that you tried once but it caused your life to start spiraling downwards. That's the connotation that addiction usually has, you start and you can try but you can't do anything to stop it, even though it's uprooting your life and tearing it apart.

But sometimes you get an addiction to calmer things, reading, painting, singing, things that don't destroy your life, but do the opposite, enhance it, improve it, maybe even put it back together again

Everyone has an addiction. Remus always thought his was books, or chocolate. But as of lately, he's been addicted to kissing Sirius, more so than any drug people could get addicted to.

It's been small kisses at first, soft and hesitant, for the first three days at least. But now it's whenever they can, secret kisses hidden before one of them leaves for work, while working on a song, whenever James and Peter aren't watching. And every single one was the same blissful feeling as it always has been, like Sirius was the only warmth that Remus has ever known in his life.

"So, I mean, we haven't gone on any sort of official date yet," Remus points out. They had been, well, guess together would be the right word for it, for about ten days.

Sirius looks at him blankly. "Oh fuck." He finally says.

"What?" Remus asked, kind of nervous, nervous that Sirius remembered something that he had to tell Remus.

"You're right." Sirius realized, his voice defeated. He sunk into the couch, and was silent.

After about a minute of said silence, Sirius shot up. "You know what? I'm taking you on a date. We're going on a date, and you can't do anything about it. Remus Franklin Lupin, you and I are going on a date." He instructed.

There Sirius goes with using the ridiculous middle names again. Remus' lips pulled up into a smile. "I wasn't going to stop you," Remus says smoothly.

"Good." Sirius said, and plopped down onto the couch next to Remus.

"So, where are we going on said date?" Remus asked, as he and Sirius got into the car. Remus had on a sweater and scarf.

"I dunno, I was thinking maybe find a place to go somewhere in Newport?" Sirius guessed.

"Sure, that works," Remus agreed.

"How about tonight?" Sirius asked, and leaned over to kiss Remus:

"That works perfectly," Remus said, and leaned over to meet Sirius in the middle.

"I wish Frosty Freeze was open, that place is the best," Sirius commented as they drove by a shack-looking place with a faded sign titled 'Frosty Freeze,'

"Is it good?" Remus asked.

"Only the best ice cream in the entire state," Sirius smiled, looking at the place fondly. "I can't believe I've been so busy with the band and our trip and stuff that I didn't even take you to Frosty Freeze."

"Well, we could go tomorrow," Remus suggests with a shrug.

Sirius laughed. "Still forget you haven't lived here that long. Frosty Freeze closes for the winter. It's only open from April to September."

"Oh. Guess we should go then," Remus decides.

"They have great chocolate ice cream," Sirius said as they drove on past, driving down past an old church.
