Both me and the man who – it's killing me to say – but who saved my life, looked after them until they all were out of sight. Pete started to walk towards me. He wore a pare of long black - and tight might I add - jeans with a white T-shit and black converse. His hair was short and brown, slightly styled up. He looked younger than he sounded, around his mid twentieths maybe? Not older..

By this time he was next to me, looking a bit worried. How could he be genuinely worried about someone he'd just met. Well he haven't really met me has he? Never spoken to me, just seen me once and that's if you count this time. While looking in his eyes I noticed that they were clear blue. Absolutely beautiful. Even though they're blue they're not cold and hard but quite warm and.. Almost loving. It's a bit weird, really. Blue eyes that's warm. Not really a typical combination is it. They're blue like.. No, enough about his eyes. I'm going to stop now. You're not reading this because you want to know about someones eyes. But if you are then I'm sorry and you should probably look after a different book, a book about eyes maybe? That's a bit scary really.

Sorry, I came a bit of track there. Back to this Pete.

“Hey, how are you?” He asked me in a sweet voice.

“Hi, I feel awful.” I said a bit stronger than the last time I spoke.

“Yeah, you look terrible.”

“Wow, thanks for that.. That's exactly what I needed to hear.” I sounded way too mean than I intended to but I think he kind of had it coming. Especially after saying what he did, considering about what just happened to me.

“Sorry, but it's true. Thought you could take a joke.” He said looking at me and added, “Yeah, you're right. Not really the right time to joke. I'm sorry. Really, I am.” I could see that his apology was sincere.

“It's okey. I bet it's true anyway. It's better you tell me the truth than to lie to me so..” I said with a half smile which he returned.

“Here let me help you up or are you even able to stand up? Looks like you got beaten real bad..”

I nodded and he started to help me up on my feet. My knees gave in a bit but he got the hold of me just before I landed back on the ground. I looked up at him apologetic, he just nodded as an answer and helped me stand up straight again. This time he kept his left arm around me with his hand on my hip for support. His other hand on my right shoulder. Looking at me still a little worried, wondering if I could stand myself and decided that I couldn't.

“What time is it?” I asked.

“Let me take you to the hospital.” He didn't really say it, he was more telling me. Order even.

“What time is it?” I asked again, a bit more demanding for an answer looking him straight in the eyes. He turned his head to look at his phone.

“Um.. six thirty pm. Now let me take you to the hospital.” He told me and started to walk but I refused to. He looked at me wondering what I was doing.

“No. I need to get home, now.” I told him, now in a stronger and firmer voice. Almost as strong as I wanted to, but my stomach was hurting quite bad. He looked at me a bit confused.

“Why? What can possible be more important than getting you checked at the hospital?” He wondered with a dead serious face.

“What I need to do at home is none of your concern.”

“Yes, it is. I didn't just save you from those guys just so you can die peacefully in your bed because of a brain bleed.” I thought he looked serious before, well you should see him now.
