Bones left a while ago when people started to come and I had to actually start working for real. There wasn't too many people today, only around 100 or so combined which is far less than it usually is.

“Hey! Can I get a refill here please?” A man called for me and I nodded in answer.

I went to get the coffee and then to the table where the man who had asked for it sat.

“There you go, is there anything else you'd like?” I asked with my polite waitress voice.

The man scanned me from top to toe and then back up again with a smirk on his face showing his yellow teeth. He and his friends that were with him had the same style as David only they really looked homeless and even smelled a little like it.

“Is there anything else you'd like?” I repeated myself, looking back and forth between the men.

“Well I don't think either of us would mind having you sitting on our lap.” The man who wanted the coffee said still with a smirk and licked his lips a little looking at my body again.

I wanted to vomit.

“Well if that is all I'm going to go. I'll be back with the bill later.” I smiled and walked away.

“Did he say something about your body?” Niamo, the other waitress that usually worked the same hours as me, asked when I came behind the counter.

“How'd you know?” I asked and laughed a little.

“Because he and his friends have probably said it to me twenty times when I've served them coffee.” She said back with a little disgusted face.

We joked around a little saying that if he had an eyepatch he could be taken as a stranded pirate which might be an upgrade. It's not like we have real problem with them or anything we're just having some fun.. Also making sure no one except us can hear us.

I stood at the coffee machine when I saw David wave at me telling me to go to him.

“You can go home now if you want. Niamo can take care of the rest, there's not many people left and we close soon.” He then added when he saw my expression.

“But I don't mind staying. It's fine.” I told him, being serious.

“I know you need the money, and you'll get fully paid even though you're leaving early. I promise.” He said, honest.

“You know I don't like getting treated differently than the others.” I said confirmed, but at the same time I was really tired and hungry so cutting off early and still get fully paid didn't sound so bad this time..

“I can see that you're tired and I've already talked to Niamo about it and she's fine with it. She even agrees so you go home and get some sleep. I'm no longer asking you, I'm telling you. Go home and get paid or stay here and don't.” He then said.

“Wow you really do want me gone don't you.” I with a smile, giving his arm a small hit.

David had been very understanding, giving me time off for the funeral and everything. I just didn't want him to think that I took this job for granted because I really didn't.

“You know you're one of my best and most loyal workers, your job is safe. Now go.” He simply said with a smile and walked off.

Around two blocks from home I stopped because of a red light and I saw two guys stand in a corner and talk. They looked around a little now and then almost as if to see if anyone could see them. Which is quite obvious since they were standing in a very open and public place.

Looking a little more I noticed that it was Sam. And Charlie..? Why would Charlie be talking to Sam? Or maybe even better, why would Sam feel like he needed to talk to Charlie?

The light turned green and a car behind me started to honk his horn telling me to drive.

When I got at home all I could think of was food and why the heck the two of them had been talking. When it came to food I later decided that I didn't feel like cooking so I called and ordered in a vegetarian pizza which arrived around thirty minutes later. I sat on my bed in my bedroom and started to eating the amazing pizza and drank some coke.

I was still thinking about Sam and Charlie when my phone started to ring, I answered thinking it was Jaime.

“Hola Jaime.”

“Oh not Jaime this time.” A husky voice said.

“Oh shit sorry Charlie.” I said with a low voice.

“What's going on?” He asked.

“Nothing much.. Just eating some pizza, drinking coke. What have you been up to today?” I tried to ask as casually as I could.

“Not much at all. I've been feeling crapy and been at home all day.” He explained.

“Well not all day, I saw you in school you know.” I tried to joke.

He was quite, not saying a word.

“Oh yeah, except school.” He then added a little hesitant.

“So I've got to ask you.. What did you and Sam talk about earlier today? Like a little over an hour ago maybe?

“What? I haven't even been outside my house, how can I have talked to him? Besides, I have nothing to say to him and I doubt he's got anything to say to me either.” He said both calm and a little taken aback.

“Charlie, I saw you two talking. It's fine, promise, just tell me what you said.” I assured him.

“I swear I didn't talk to him.”

“Why do you lie to me Charlie? I saw you with my own eyes. And if you don't want to tell me then just say that instead of lying about the whole thing. It's not like it's illegal for you to talk to him. I'm just curious as why you would do it.” I said starting to get a little irritated.

“And I am telling you that I have not seen or talked to him. Whatever I gotta go.” He signed and just hung up.

What is going on with him?! I said out loud.
