chapter 23

Jake's POV:

Anthony and I were in the kitchen finishing our breakfast and cleaning up. I then turned my vlog camera on and had Nathan film for me as I did my intro. I look into the camera, come close, look around for Erika's presence and once I see she's not there, I speak in a low voice to the camera.

Jake: Okay Jake Paulers. Today is a special day, full of surprises. First off, we are going to the store to go buy something for someone... Then I have something very important to share.

I smile at the camera and then start to bother Anthony.

Jake: Toner, you're spending your day with me. Okay, let's go Jake Paulers!

Anthony looks at me and then Nathan turns off the camera.

Anthony: Where are we going?

I ignore him and make my way out of the door with Nathan and Anthony following behind me. We get in the car and then I begin to drive off. We arrive to the place and I park. We all get out and head inside.

Anthony: Bro. Jake.. What are we doing here?

I say nothing and look around and try to find the area I'm looking for. I spot it and head towards the electronic section. I then begin to look at the camera's.

Anthony: Are you getting a new vlog camera?
Jake: No, bro.
Anthony: Then what are you doing?
Jake: You'll see.

I look at Nathan and tell him to turn on the camera to vlog. As he was turning it on, I left for a moment to grab an employee. We walked over and I told him the camera and the macbook laptop that I wanted. He nodded and left to grab the camera and macbook from the back and came back and handed them to me. I looked at it and smiled then grabbed the camera with my left hand and the macbook with my right.

Jake: (looks at the employee) Thanks, that's all. I can find the rest on my own. (looks into the camera) Okay, so Jake Paulers. In my hands, I have a camera and laptop. (shows the camera and laptop that he's getting)
Anthony: (looks at Jake) Okay, so you bought a new camera to vlog and a new laptop?
Jake: No... (looks into the camera) I'm surprising Erika with a vlog camera and a macbook. (walks over to the camera accessories and picks up a tripod and mic and hands it to Anthony to hold)
Anthony: (holds the accessories) Wait.. This is for Erika?
Jake: Yup. (smiles at him) Its for her. As a gift, I wanna surprise her. Bro... (looks at him in a serious way and gets a little nervous as he says this) She makes so happy and um... I love when she smiles, and.. (looks at the camera nervously) so hopefully I can make her smile.
Anthony: (looks at Jake and smiles) You're a great person, Jake. I'm sure she's going to be surprised and will love it.. But why are you getting her a camera and laptop?
Jake: (looks at Anthony then looks at the camera) Okay, so Jake Paulers, the reason I'm getting Erika a vlog camera and laptop is because, she told me she wanted to start vlogging. And I want to be there to support her, and to be her number one fan. I want to start her off.. And well I bought her the camera along with the accessories to help her out and a laptop so she can edit because I know that at the moment.. She can't really afford it, so I want to help and give her whatever she needs to help her do whatever makes her happy. And if she wants to vlog, I'm going to be there to support her.
Anthony: (looks at Jake) You really like her don't you..
Jake: Nah bro, I don't like her.. I love her. (looks up at the camera slightly and forms a small smile as he says that)

Erika's POV:

Jake and I had decided on finally telling his fans the truth about everything. And we were also going to make our relationship public, which I was kinda excited about, yet at the same time nervous. He's so use to the public eye, and I'm not yet. I can't believe my boyfriend is one of the most popular social media millionaires in the world. Of course people are going to pay attention to what I do now.. But I don't want to hide our relationship, so keeping it public might be the best thing for us. Jake called me down to living room and I grabbed Jax and held him up in my arms as I walked downstairs to where Jake was. Jake was sitting fixing his vlog camera to the point of view that he wanted it for us. He then turned on his camera and sat down as I sat beside him, also as I sit Jax down on my lap.

Jake: (looks over at Erika and Jax and smiles) Okay, Jake Paulers. So... You guys all know Erika.
Erika: (smiles at the camera) Hi.
Jake: And this... (grabs Jax from Erika and places him on his lap) Well this is our son, Jax. (looks down at Jax) Say hi to the camera, buddy.
Jax: (shyly speaks as he looks into the camera) Hi.
Jake: Well yeah, this is our son, he's three years old. And I'm glad I could finally tell you guys. And I didn't keep it from you for years. I just recently found out I had a son when Erika moved back to L.A.
Erika: (smiles at the camera) Yup. And.. Before you guys assume that I'm a bad person for not telling him or some shit.. We went through stuff in high school.. I got pregnant in high school when we just got together. Then I found out that Jake was going to move back to Ohio. After he left, I found out I was pregnant and told my family and then we all moved back to Tennessee.
Jake: (looks at her as she speaks and nods)
Erika: Its not that I didn't want to tell Jake.. I did, I really did. But I had no way to contact him in person and I had no idea how to tell him. Then.. I found out he became this really famous social media star, and that's when I began to think that Jake didn't remember me or had moved on and forgotten about me. I then just recently moved back here to be with my best friend, Tessa Brooks.. You guys may know her. So yeah.. Then all this stuff happened and Jake and I ran into eachother.. And I guess now we're here. And I honestly couldn't be happier. Jake is the greatest father ever. (looks at Jake and smiles)
Jake: (kisses her cheek) And also... We also have something else to tell you guys.. (looks at Erika and smiles) Yes, Jerika is real. Erika Costell is my girlfriend, and it's definitely official. (smiles into the camera)
Jax: (gets down from Jake's lap and starts playing with his toy cars on the floor)
Erika: (gets closer to Jake and leans in to kiss his cheek)
Jake: (looks over at Erika and smiles) And Rik... I got a surprise for you!
Erika: (looks at Jake with a look full of curiosity) What is it?

Hmm.. What could he have gotten me? I'm so excited to see because he knows me so well. Jake looks at me and smiles and quickly gets up. He walks out of the room for a moment then comes back with a bag then sits back down beside me and hands it to me.

Jake: You told me you wanted to vlog.. So look inside. (smiles at Erika)
Erika: (looks up at Jake then looks down at the bag) Wait... Are you serious right now?
Jake: More than anything.

I slowly begin to take out the things out of the bag and find a really nice camera, a nice tripod, and a nice mic and a macbook. I look at these things and I begin to form a smile on my face. Jake is literally the best! I love him so much, I can't believe he got me this, I love how he always listens and is always there for me.

Jake: Start vlogging. I'll be your number one supporter and your number one fan. Forever.
Erika: (looks at Jake and hugs him) Thank you so much!! You're literally the best ever!!
Jake: Anything for you, Erika Costell.
Erika: (looks up at Jake and smiles)
Jake: (kisses her forehead and then looks at the camera) And Jake Paulers.. I'm going to go help Erika set up her YouTube channel and by the time this vlog is up, it'll be done so I will leave her link to her channel below in the description. Let's get her to 1 million! I know we can do it, we're the strongest family out there!

I look at Jake and smile at him. I love what he's done for me. I love him.
