chapter 18

Jake's POV:

I took my vlog camera downstairs as I had just finished doing my intro. I go to the kitchen and Tony and Tessa are sitting next to eachother at the table. Anthony is on his phone as Tessa leans on his shoulder, watching him. I then go to the fridge and open it up and grab the milk.

Anthony: Hey Jake.
Jake: (starts to make himself a bowl of cereal) Yeah?
Anthony: Have you checked your phone?
Jake: No, not yet. Why?
Anthony: Because people are wondering who the other girl is that's living here, besides Tessa. I guess they heard the girls voices in the background and they kinda peeped Erika in the footage a little bit.
Jake: Okay.. And what am I supposed to do about that?
Anthony: Yeah so like... Are you gonna say something? Like tell them?
Jake: (takes a spoonful of cereal and eats it) Nope.. I don't care.

Anthony looks at Tessa and tells her that he'll talk to her later. Tessa nods and walks out of the kitchen and goes back upstairs. I continue to eat my cereal as this is happening. Anthony then walks over to me and I look at him.

Anthony: What's up with you?
Jake: Nothing. What do you mean?
Anthony: Acting careless. Especially when it's about Erika.
Jake: Okay, and?
Anthony: You never do that.

I look at him and finish my bowl of cereal and rinse it off in the sink and keep quiet just doing my own thing.

Anthony: You can talk to me bro.
Jake: (looks at Anthony) I just don't know.
Anthony: Don't know about what?
Jake: I don't know what to do.
Anthony: Be more specific.
Jake: I love Erika. But you know how Alissa and I just recently broke up...?
Anthony: Yeah, what about it?
Jake: Erika doesn't wanna get back together because of Alissa.. She doesn't want drama with her like she did in high school.
Anthony: So just prove to her that you won't let anything happen to her or won't let Alissa get in the way if you really do love her.

I looked at Anthony and then stopped and stood there, thinking for awhile. I then grabbed my vlog camera and headed out the house, and got in my car. I pulled out of my driveway and and continued to the front of my house where I found paparazzi in front of the gate. I pulled down my window and and he asked me.

Interviewer: Where's Alissa?
Jake: She no longer lives here at the Team 10 mansion and is no longer on Team 10 as well.
Interviewer: So what happened between you guys?
Jake: I don't want to publicly share what happened between us.
Interviewer: Oh, okay. A that's fine. So who are the girls that live there? Your fans want to know, they've been asking me to ask you about it.
Jake: Tessa Brooks, and another girl who I guess would much rather stay off the spotlight. So I won't say no names. But just know this, I love her.
Interviewer: Oh, so she's your new girlfriend? What about Alissa?
Jake: No she's not my girlfriend. And Alissa and I broke up, its time to move on.

I pull up my window and then drive away. I head to the hollywood sign and once I arrive there, I park the car and get out. I turn on my vlog camera and point it at myself.

Jake: Hey, Jake Paulers. Today... Today, I'm at a place that is important to me.

I move the camera around, showing the area.

Jake: I know, I never get serious but, there's something that I feel like I just really have to do. (avoids eye contact with the camera for a few seconds then looks back) There's this girl. And I love her. And no... I'm not talking about Alissa. Alissa and I broke up. We're moving on. To all you Jalissa shippers, I'm sorry.

I then get on the hood of my car as I continue to film myself.

Jake: Anyways, there's this girl. And I guess she'd like to remain nameless since she doesn't wanna be in the spotlight too much. But let me tell you guys this, I've loved her since we were in high school... And maybe when the time is right, I'll tell you guys our full story.. But for now, this is all I'm sharing. Okay so anyways... You guys are probably wondering why this location is important to me.

I show them the area once again.

Jake: Its important to me because I've had a lot of moments here. Moments that I'd... Do a thousand times over if I could. Moments with that girl I'm talking about. We had our first kiss here, first dance, and I asked her to be my girlfriend here back in high school. Basically, I'm here to publicly apologize to this girl to let her know how serious I am.. And thanks Tony for helping me realize, you're an amazing best friend bro. Anyways... I just want to tell you, I'm sorry for not understanding and everything. I was upset, but I'm here to tell you that all I care about is your happiness and whatever makes you happy, I'll support you... And I really hope you watch this vlog because it'd be embarrassing if I did all of this and you ain't even see it.. (laughs and smiles nervously after he thinks that) But Jake Paulers, if you really love someone, prove it. Be serious, make them believe you if they don't. You guys can do anything! If you love someone, never let them go, and always let them know. I'm sorry that this isn't a normal vlog and you might find it boring, but I'm trying to prove myself to someone I really do love. So all I'm saying is guys, do what you gotta do to make anything happen.

I then filmed my outro for my vlog then got back in the car and immediately headed home. Once I arrived, I got out of my car and headed upstairs, straight to my room. I grabbed my laptop and uploaded the video to my computer to begin editing it so that I could upload it to my YouTube as soon as possible for tomorrow.
