chapter 4

Erika's POV:

I was in my room while Jax was on my bed taking a nap. I sat down at my desk, opening up my laptop and searched up "Jake Paul" on YouTube.. I clicked on one of his videos and started watching his vlogs.. I smiled as I watched. He's exactly the same and I love that. I honestly miss him which sucks.. I continued to watch his vlogs and realized that a fimiliar female was always with him.. Alissa.. I guess they still continued being friends or something or more.. I don't know. Seeing her with him honestly did kind of hurt my feelings.. I then turned away from my laptop and went to the living room where I found Tony and Tessa on the couch cuddling.. They both turn around and look at me.

Erika: Hey guys.
Tessa: Hey E.
Anthony: (looks at Erika confused) Erika?
Erika: That's my name.
Anthony: What the hell, when did you come back to L.A.?
Erika: Like a week ago or so.
Anthony: (looks at Tessa) And you guys are living together?
Tessa: Yeah.. Sorry, I forgot to tell you.
Anthony: Oh okay. Wait til Jake hears about this.. Erika back in L.A.
Erika: Yeah, please don't tell him. I've been kinda putting off facing him for a reason..
Anthony: Why? You guys were like in love last time I seen you before he moved back to Ohio.
Erika: I know that.. And maybe I do still kinda love him, but I just can't face him.
Anthony: Is it cause of him and Alissa?
Erika: No?... I didn't know him and Alissa were back together...
Anthony: Oh... Sorry..
Erika: I thought they were just friends..
Anthony: Sorry I told you..
Erika: It's fine..
Anthony: But why don't you want to go see him? I'm sure he'd love to see you.
Erika: Yeah... Well I don't know about that. There's something I️'ve been keeping from him and I just don't know how to handle it.
Anthony: Which is...? If you don't mind me asking..
Erika: Uh... (tries to avoid eye contact with Tony)

Just then, I heard Jax whining for me and rubbing his eyes as he came out of my room. "Mommy, mommy" he said as he reached his arms up for me to pick him up. I picked him up and looked at Tony. Tony then got up from the couch and Tessa watched.

Anthony: Wait.. That's your kid?
Erika: Yeah...
Anthony: So you don't want to face him just because you have a kid?
Erika: Well not only that but...
Anthony: But what?

He walks over to me and looks at Jax as he lays his head down against the crook of my neck.

Anthony: This kid looks like Jake.. His blond hair.. His eyes, his nose.. He looks just like him. (He looks at Erika)
Erika: (smiles at him nervously and awkwardly) Yeah..
Anthony: Wait... Is this Jake's kid?
Erika: Yup... He's 3 years old and his name is Jax..
Anthony: (Looks at Jax) Hey Jax, hey buddy. (Looks back at Erika) Wow.. I did not see this coming... Jake's an actual father.
Erika: Don't tell Jake please. I know you live with him and everything.
Anthony: Okay... Alright, Erika.
