chapter 30

Jake's POV:

Tony and I surprisingly made it pass security and were able to barge into his house. We then began to look around for a sign of Erika but couldn't seem to find anything because the house was pretty big. We then moved upstairs to look more and that's when we heard voices. I looked at Anthony and he looked back at me. We signaled eachother with our eyes to go towards the room we heard voices at. We both go, I was in front, and Tony right behind me. He then began to move beside me as we rushed into the bedroom. I looked directly in front of me and I see Erika, looking at me. She began to form a small smile. I looked at her and gave her a reassuring look that said "I'm here, it's going to be okay now". I looked at her and noticed her eyes were a bit puffy and red.. It had seemed like she had been crying. I wouldn't blame her. My eyes then made their way to Drew who was looking straight at Anthony and I in complete anger.

Drew: What are you bitches doing here?
Jake: Protecting MY girl.

Drew looks back at Erika and begins to rush over there, he had looked like he was going to put his hands on her.

Drew: You bitch! You lied to me! You're just putting yourself in danger.

I give Tony a look and he runs over in front of Drew and stops him. Drew looks at him and laughs and pulls his arm back and making a fist, getting ready to punch him. I grab his arm and pull him closer to me and turn him facing me.

Jake: What the hell do you think you're doing?

I pull my dominant arm back, making a fist and punch him right at his jaw. I then look to Tony and he helps Erika up and walks her over towards the exit of the room where she just stands and watches me alongside Tony. I then pay my attention back to Drew when I feel a slight push. I look at him and smirk. I push him and he falls back a bit, I then continue to push him until his back is against the wall. I place my hand on his neck as and hold him against the wall like that. I then take my free hand and give him five more punches to the face. His lip and nose begin to bleed and I finally let go of him, giving him a knee kick to his private area, twice before I actually let go of him. As my hands let go of his embrace, I throw him down to the floor and watch him lay there as he holds his face and his private area.

Jake: The police is on their way. You don't have a career anymore. (chuckles) Good luck in life now that you're a criminal.

Just then the cops came barging in and looked at me.

Police Officer: Why would you beat him up? You're not allowed to do that, sir.
Jake: Self defense... Well I safety. I'm sorry.

He looked at me and went straight to Drew and put his hands behind his back and handcuffed him. I then rushed to Erika and hugged her, she hugged me tight. I pulled away and a bit and kissed her forehead.

Jake: See I told you I promise to protect you no matter what.

She looked at me and began to form a small smile.

Jake: And I'd do it a thousand times over.

I hugged her once more and then walked her out the door as Tony followed behind us. As soon as we walked out, the cops came over to us to question us.

Erika's POV:

Jake walked away with one of the police officers as did Anthony. One came over to me and started questioning me.

P.O.: Are you okay?
Erika: I am now.
P.O.: Did anything happen to you? Did he do anything to you?

I looked at him, almost afraid to tell him. I got closer to him and said in a soft voice.

Erika: He raped me. And he threatened me.

I looked at me and he started writing in his notepad and nodded as he wrote.

P.O.: Thank you ma'am. I'll make sure the department knows about this and decide what his jail time is. I want you to know that you're safe now. Everything will be okay, and I promise you that he'll end up in jail. His career is pretty messed up and over at this point.

I looked at him and nodded.

Erika: Good to know.. Thanks.

Just as I said that, Jake walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me. I sort of a flinched just because I'm kind of traumatized at this point. He looked at and hugged me tight and said to me softly.

Jake: Dont worry, you're safe now. You're with me, and I promise to protect you. A thousand times over. I'm not gonna let anything happen to you ever again.

I looked at Jake and simply just began to form a small smile. He kissed my forehead and we headed home. When we arrived, Tessa and Jax both came over to me and hugged me. I gave them a small hug then Jake and I went straight up to his bedroom. Tessa stayed downstairs along with Anthony taking care of Jax. Jake and I sat on his bed and I leaned my head on his shoulder. He leaned his head right on top of mine and held my hand.

Jake: Are you okay?

I stayed silent and just looked ahead of me.

Jake: Babe.
Erika: I am now.
Jake: What did he do?

I stood there, trying to avoid that question because I never wanted to speak of it again. But I knew I had to at one point. And with Jake it just felt safe enough to tell him.

Jake: Did he touch you in any way you didn't want to be touched?

All the memories of what he had done cane flooding back all through my head. I finally spoke back to him.. In an almost like whisper.

Erika: He raped me. Twice.

Jake stayed silent for like about a minute then picked his head up and faced me. He wrapped his arms around me and I laid my head against his chest. I could feel my eyes starting to water and my breath sounds getting heavy. I was on the verge of crying. He kissed the top of my head. I had never felt so safe and sound in my life. I felt so safe in his embrace. I know I'll always be safe as long as he's there to hold me and protect me.

Jake: Thanks for telling me. It's okay now.

I picked my head up for a second and tried to control my breathing from all the crying.

Erika: I love you.

Jake looked me right in my eyes and wiped my tears away.

Jake: I love you too.
