Chapter 1: So the Plan Begins

It was an ordinary day when the announcement had came. Mal was vandalizing the wall at my side as I scoped out the street. After living in the Isle for so long, it's become easy to spot the ones that have more to hide when we come strolling through.

"Hey, just give me a heads up when you and the other three are going to start your little territory dance-" I started.

"They say I'm trouble," Mal started to sing turning to face me with a mischievous smile on her face.

"More like stubborn," I smiled as she jumped off the chest.

"They say I'm bad," She replied walking away sending me a wink back.

"Why do I even bother?" I sighed pulling away from the wall. I followed a distance behind Mal taking advantage of the people caught up in their little show. I know I've been hearing rumors about the Queen of Heart's twin sons getting a hold of some dark magical items that belonged to the dark sorcerer, Facilier. It was the only reason I told Mal and the others to do their performance in this specific area. The two immediately decided to run off and join the rest of the people dancing in the center. I went through their stall.

"I seek the new, I seek the hidden, I seek that which is forbidden, Bring to sight what hides the dark and conceal it now without a mark," I whispered snapping my fingers. The blue spark ignited as the tips of my fingers brushed against each other. I discreetly moved forward snatching up the rings and the weird black crystal bottle now only visible to my eyes. I tossed them in the air and caught them. My father was the ruler of the underworld. Hades, himself. My mother, Maleficent. Hades was banished to the underworld after that whole trying to take over Olympus ordeal. They weren't too harsh considering he could step into the Isle every now and then depending on how lenient Zeus was being. My mom was the one left to raise me. Being a semi-god and all, the barrier didn't affect me as it did my sister and my mother. Don't get me wrong. I was still trapped here, but I can do little spells at the least. Like I just did. I set the things into my bag. I quickly went and joined the others in the center going along and dancing while I discreetly stole from the dancers around me. I went and sat on a barrel at the side when I decided I've taken enough.

"I'm rotten to the core!" Carlos said as they all posed.

"I give it a 3.5, you guys weren't coordinating very well," I replied leaning back on my palms. The four glared at me. A mother pulling her child on a wagon came strolling by. Mal's eyes lit up with mischief.

"Well, considering that's half a point more than last time," Mal said as she snatched the candy from the baby, "I think I deserve a reward." She held up the lollipop for everyone to see and the group behind her began to laugh. I rolled my eyes. I loved my sister, but she didn't always see the bigger picture. The group immediately began to scatter as my mother's goons began to walk up. Mal didn't even have to turn around and look at them as she happily greeted her mother.

"Hi, Mom."

"Stealing candy, Mal?" She pouted as she shoved her two goons aside holding her staff high, "I'm so disappointed."

"It was from a baby," Mal replied in a hopeful tone to gain mom's approval.

"Oh, that's my nasty little girl," our mother smiled snatching the candy from Mal before spitting on it and sticking it into her underarm before referring to one of her goons, "give it back to the dreadful creature." The goon took it from her and walked away following the mother.

"ugh, mom!" Mal complained.

"It's the detes, Mal, that make the difference between mean and truly evil," Our mother said giving another one of her lessons making me roll my eyes knowing she was going to go back to her 'good old days' stories. "When I was your age-"
