If you've read this chapter before, all you got to do is go to the last part you read. I added more to the chapter.
Chapter 19: No, It's Just the Beginning.
Uma sat at the bottom of the sea contemplating what she should do. She couldn't return to the Isle, not after failing, but she felt lost and nothing more would please her than returning to a familiar place. She was all alone out here... Her necklace began to glow a dark blue glow. Uma looked at the soul in the shell shaped necklace. Uma never meant to go this far. She planned to use the contract as a threat to keep Lia in line, but she never actually planned on taking the claim on her soul. But everything was happening so fast, and the pain of her betraying her again had clouded her judgement. Regardless, Lia was a friend even if most of the time they clashed and ended up fighting in opposite sides. The tears in Uma's eyes mixed with the seawater around her. Her grip tightened on her shell necklace.
"I'm so sorry, Lia," Uma said pressing the necklace to her face, "I release you from our binding contract." The soul was shining blindly as it spewed out of the shell necklace. It circled around Uma before it went shooting back in the direction of its body.
Lia's P.O.V.
Screams met my ears as I suddenly shot up into a sitting position opening my eyes. I winced at some of the vocals on these princesses. I looked around confused at all the people gathered around me. I quickly backed up until my back was against the railing.
"Lia, Lia," Jay said stepping in front of the others with his hands in front. "It's okay. You're safe." A cold wind blew through the deck and I looked up and my eyes widened when I saw the enormous purple dragon landing on the top deck.
"Yeah, what tells you that?" I shouted, "the five hundred pound dragon? Because you might want to check that again!"
"It's just Mal," Carlos replied.
"Wha-" I said confused but shut up when I saw the dragon turn to smoke and now standing at the top of the stairs was Mal in a purple dress just like in the stain glass with a tiara in her head. She rushed down the steps and suddenly ran up to me almost tackling me into a hug. If it weren't for the railing, we would have gone overboard.
"I'm so glad you're okay," Mal said. I froze in her hug unsure when they decided we were on the same side. Oh, wait...the fake deal, right...I pulled away confused when the pretending dawned on me.
"What is going on?" I replied. "Last time I checked, we were just making a deal, not a family reunion." The others looked at me as I made a flame wall between me and them. "I'm not on your side. I'm not even sure I belong here. I just want to get those that don't out of there."
"Lia, come on, you belong here with us," Evie replied, "and you know it."
"I'm not like you guys, alright?" I replied frowning, "I'm not capable of love."
"That's funny because I've felt your love everyday when we lived in the Isle," Mal replied. "Remember the times I'd make a mistake and was so scared of disappointing Mom that you would always go and make a bigger mistake to focus her disappointment and anger on you instead." I smiled for a moment, but the smile quickly faded when I realized I was doing it.
"That was in the past, Mal," I replied, "everything's changed now. Get that throu-"
"Has it?" Princey spoke up making me turn and look at him, "because I remember perfectly clear earlier today when you snuck into my room and threatened me about making a fool out of Mal." Princey looked to Mal. "I'm sorry about..."
"No, you were under the spell," Mal replied taking his hand before looking over to me. "You did that?"
"That was a different...I was trying...it was a-" I couldn't lie for the life of me all of a sudden. "Well I mean obviously, I didn't want Mal here to do what she did."
