Chapter 6: Exploring the Kingdom of Auradon
I snuck out early in the morning knowing that there was no way I'd be able to help Jay if I stayed in my room where they could all go and bother me. I knew I was going to get sermons for it later, but I would worry about it later. I went down to this underground cave that I had found years ago with Uma. It used to be our place where we would go and talk looking at the sea life swimming back and through. The other end of the cave leading into the open ocean where across the way Auradon was. I remember Uma and I would dream about what we would do if we could just swim passed the barrier awaiting at the other end of the cave. I doubt Uma would come here anymore. She hates me too much to even reminisce in our memories. I laid down next to the pool closing my eyes.
"Shed the distance, shed the time, take me to the ring like mine, Jay," I replied as I rubbed the ring. I found that I got there right as Carlos was leading Fairy Godmother out. I looked at Jay who was sweating and looked sickly pale. I smirked at him. "Spell works like a charm, huh?"
"You're telling me," Jay said as he climbed out of bed and immediately lost his balance. I quickly reacted catching him and holding him up to help him keep his balance. "Everything's a blur."
"Where's the antidote?" I asked. He motioned to the table. I began guiding him to the table. I sat him down on the chair and he pointed to the little black box across the table. I reached out to grab it, but my hand went right through. Carlos walked back in and he froze in his place at the sight of me. He quickly shut the door.
"What are you doing here?" Carlos said, "If Evie and Mal find out you're he-"
"Can...you...antidote..now" Jay's voice raspy and sounding very bad.
"Carlos, the box," I replied.
"Oh right," He said as he rushed over grabbing the black box and pulling out the antidote and handing it to Jay. Jay quickly ate the antidote. "If Mal and Evie find out-"
"It's okay," I replied. "they don't have to know."
"I don't know about this, guys," Carlos frowned.
"Okay, well then, let's say I don't help you," I replied smiling, "I'm just here for the sightseeing." Carlos continued to frown. "Oh, come on, Carlos. You don't think I deserve a stroll through the very kingdom I've been forced to study and research all my life?"
"Guess you have a point," Carlos sighed.
We snuck out of the school and going into the museum of Cultural Art and History to get a phone and call for a taxi using a phone book at the phone. Considering Looney had to give us the money in bills, we had to get change for one of the bills. They sat in the front of the steps looking at the road in front of the museum as I stood still looking up at the building.
"Hard to believe the wand's just right here, but still so far out of our grasp," I replied.
"You're telling me," Jay replied frowning.
"Hey, our rides here!" Carlos replied making me look back. We all headed to the taxi written "Genie's magic Car transportation" now parking in front. We all crowded in telling the auto-vehicle where we wanted to be dropped off.
"For first time riders, we love to give commemorative photos of our ride together!" The taxi spoke, "say cheese!" The camera popped out ready to take the photo.
"Well I know for a fact I won't be in there, so..." I started climbing out through the back window when I was pulled back and came flying right back in onto the boys' laps. My back being against Jay's chest and my legs being on Carlos's lap. They both pulled one of my cheeks forcing a smile on my face. I could just imagine how ridiculous they were going to look in the picture once the photo snapped. The camera made a click sound and then the sound of a printer sounded as a photo stuck out from the seat. Carlos grabbed it and smiled.
