Chapter 3: Showing Them Isle-Style

"So this is what school is?" I said laying onto of the desktop of the desk of the girls. "How boring." Mal moved my arms more over so I wasn't blocking her drawing of the wand. "Honestly, I would have just ditched. There's so much better sights to see than this place. At least, from what I've read."

"We're trying not to draw attention to ourselves and get kicked out, remember?" Mal replied.

"Yeah, cause that's totally working," I laughed, "honestly a quick sick spell, then a reverse when you're cleared, then you ditch and just go out." I looked over my nails in love with the new shade I've gotten. "Even Gil would be able to pass it off with a little sorcery."

"Did you get your nails done?" Evie asked being the only one to notice.

"Yeah, I did," I smiled.

"I love that shade of blue," Evie gushed.

"Right, Drizzy picked it out for me," I smiled.

"Won't mom be upset you're not running her errands?" Mal replied.

"I spelled the room so no one can come in," I replied smirking. Mal and Evie laughed.

"Is something entertaining, girls?" Fairy Godmother said.

"No," the two stated in unison.

"Alright, then on to the lesson," Fairy Godmother stated. "if someone hands you a crying baby, do you: a. curse it, b. lock it in a tower, c. give it a bottle, or d. carve out its heart?"

"Trick question, e. none of the above," I replied sarcastically. "You give it a sleeping spell, obviously."

"That's A," Mal retorted.

"Isn't this school supposed to promote peace?" I asked, "What's not peaceful about a sleeping baby?"

"A comatose baby?" Mal retorted making me laugh. Evie rose her hand and Fairy Godmother called on her.

"What was the second one?" Evie asked making me face palm.

"Oh," Fairy Godmother said disappointed, "oh okay, anyone else?"

"Oh, Geez, Eves," I muttered. Fairy Godmother looked over to Mal who was still sketching out the details of the wand.

"Mal?" she asked.

"C. Give it a bottle," Mal replied disinterested.

"Correct, again," Fairy Godmother stated.

"You are on fire, girl," Carlos replied.

"Just pick the one that doesn't sound like any fun," Mal stated in her duh tone.

"Oh..." The three all said finally understanding the cheat.

"That makes so much sense," Evie said making me groan as I let my head fall through the table. My friends...An annoying squeal suddenly brought my attention and watched as a girl rushed by us. She wore a simple light blue dress and her hair was cut in a plain style. She really wasn't much of a character at first sight. A girl like her would never survive on the Isle. She'd be swallowed up whole in two seconds.

"Hello dear one," Fairy Godmother said. The way the Fairy Godmother looked at her immediately made us aware of how special she was. She was the way. It was easy to see Mal was thinking the very same thing. The guys already told me about last night's failed attempt for the wand.

"You have to sign off the early dismissal for the coronation," the girl said as she nervously glanced back at us to make sure we didn't go and sneak up behind her.
