Christine's P.O.V.

I was looking up wedding dress boutiques in the living room when my phone dinged, letting me know I had a text message.

Leah: He knows.

I picked my phone up and went into the bedroom I shared with Sam where he was watching a movie.

"Dean will probably be here soon, and he's going to be really pissed." I said as I sat down beside him on the bed.

Sam sighed. "What is it this time?"

"Leah has a new beau. She told him about it tonight after he dropped off Mary Grace." I explained.

Sam laid back on the bed and covered his face with his hands. "I'll deal with him when he comes in. Is Leah okay?"

"I think so. She didn't give me any details, but he'd never hit her."

"I know that." He replied. "But you know how he is when he gets mad. There's no telling what he said to her." The corners of Sam's mouth lifted up in a slight smile. "He was working on a plan to get her back."

I nodded my head, my suspicions confirmed. "As much as I care about Dean, I don't think that really needs to happen right now anyway. They need space."

Before Sam could reply the sound of the door to the outside opening echoed through the bunker.

"I'm gonna meet him in the living room. Stay out of the crossfire, okay?" Sam said as he stood up and made his way to the door.

I nodded and waited on him to leave before creeping into the hallway where I could hear them clearly. I'd overhear them from inside the bedroom anyway.

"What happened. Dean?" Sam asked.

I heard Dean scoff. "You know damn well what happened. I'm sure your fiancee has already filled you in on all the details."

"You leave Christine out of this." Sam said defensively.

"She could have at least warned me! I didn't know I was about to get blindsided!" Dean yelled so I could hear.

I shook my head, refusing to take his bait. I'm not going to walk out there so he can yell at me.

"Dean, stop. I don't know much about what happened. How about you calm down a bit and tell me." Sam said evenly.

"When I got back from taking Mary Grace school shopping, which by the way I still don't think Leah actually told me about. Leah and I were talking when she just suddenly told me that she met some guy at a birthday party and she'd been dating him." Dean explained, still not sounding calm.

Ugh. I know Leah told him about Gracie starting kindergarten, I was right there when she told him.

There was a moment of silence as Sam decided how to word what he was going to say. "I hate to say that I told you so Dean, but I've warned you about Leah finding someone else."

Which was the absolute truth. I can't count the number of times over the years that Sam and I both have told Dean to treat Leah better.

"Her needing a break I was fine with. A couple weeks apart and things would just go right back to normal. But not her using my kid to pick up guys. I won't stand for that shit." Dean growled.

That's it. I can't take another second of his bullshit. Without putting much thought into it I left the bedroom, heading for the living room.

"Oh, no." Sam said as I entered the room.

"Leah didn't use Gracie for anything. She met him the day before the party, that's how they got invited in the first place. You're just mad that she has moved on and found someone who treats her a whole hell of a lot better." I informed Dean.

"How nice of you to grace us with your presence. Always being the first to jump up in Leah's defense, whether she's right or wrong. Hell, you've probably still got the hots for her. Why else would you do this? For your information, she can't find anyone who will treat her better than I did. I would have done ANYTHING for her, and this is how she repaid me!" Dean yelled.

Sam stepped between the two of us, but that didn't stop me.

"Well for your information, she did. She's my best friend, I will always defend her. But she is right this time. If I was still attracted to her she would've left you for me a VERY long time ago, you can bet on that." I snapped.

"Yeah, right. I'm going to go find me someone else. Someone else that will treat me better than Leah did." Dean said defiantly before turning and walking towards the front door.

I laughed. "You'd better hunt Mary down then, because the only person that would ever baby you as much as Leah did is your own mother!" I yelled after him.

I didn't get a response from him. A few seconds later the door to the bunker slammed shut.

"Chris-." Sam started.

"Don't, Sam. I wasn't going to just sit there while he insulted Leah that way.

"I know." He replied before pulling me in for a hug. "That was great how you defended her."
