Leah's P.O.V.

Two months later.

I was about to hang up when Dean finally answered.

"You know, I was up until four this morning driving back home from that hunt I went on." Dean said in his gruff sleepy voice.

"Which is exactly why I waited to call." I replied.

Dean grunted. "What time is it anyway?"

"11 AM. I waited as long as I possibly could. You agreed to hang out with Grace while I ran errands."

"I know. I was there, remember?" Dean asked, sounding more awake.

I tried not to laugh. "I remember. Wasn't sure if you did."

"Low blow, Lee." He replied, but I heard a soft chuckle.

We fell into a comfortable silence that tugged at my heart strings. So much so that I had to speak.

"Still awake over there?" I asked him.

"Yeah, I'm still here. I was just imagining that look on your face you get when the conversation is over but you're still smiling a little bit."

"Dean." I protested.

"I know. I'll be there as soon as I get showered and dressed."

We shared a quick goodbye before hanging up. I shoved my phone back in my pocket and went into the living room where Grace was sitting on the couch upside down trying to read a book.

"Is daddy still coming?" She asked before sitting up the right way.

I nodded. "He'll be on his way soon, pumpkin."

"Yes!" She said excitedly. "Do you think he'll wanna have a tea party?"

A sudden smile broke out across my face. "I think he'd love to."

"I'm gonna go get everything ready so we can start as soon as he gets here!" Gracie said quickly before putting her book down and heading for her bedroom up the stairs.

When Dean arrived I met him at the door.

"I see a tea party in your future." I told him as he entered the house.

He smiled. "It's been a while since the last one."

I went over the list of places I had to go so Dean could get an idea of how long I'd be.

"Want me to pick something up for dinner?" I asked Dean.

He shook his head. "I'm gonna try my hand at cooking."

I raised my eyebrows at him in shock. "Well, the fire extinguisher is under the kitchen sink."

"I've cooked before." He protested.

"You blew up Jody's microwave making popcorn."

"That was an accident! Go run your errands and let me live that down already." Dean said as he playfully pushed me towards the door.

After a kiss from Gracie, who was too happy to care that I was leaving, I headed to my first stop.

When I had almost conquered everything on my list I got a phone call from Danny.

"Hey, babe." I answered as I tried to shove wedding decorations in the back of my SUV.

"Got any plans tonight, beautiful?" He asked.

With one last push the box finally fit. I leaned against the back of my vehicle after I shut the hatch. "I've just got to pick up a few things from the grocery store." I answered finally, still slightly out of breath.

"Are you okay?" Danny asked, sounding concerned.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just wrestling with some decorations for Chris to look at."

Danny chuckled. "I went to the gym earlier and saw that the museum has a new exhibit up on royalty. I think Gracie would love it. So, I was thinking we could go see that tonight and then get ice cream."

"She would love that, but I'm by myself right now. Dean is at my house watching Grace and he'll probably be there until she goes to sleep tonight. Can we take a rain check on the museum? I am however, near the ice cream parlor if you wanna do that."

"Sounds good. I'll be over in just a minute. I was just getting gas." Danny answered.

We each got a waffle cone. Mint chocolate chip for Danny and chocolate marshmallow for me. We walked down the sidewalk talking about everything we could think of while we ate our delicious frozen treats.

It wasn't until we turned a corner that I felt someone watching me. I looked behind me quickly to see a glimpse of a fine, black, tailored Italian suit. Someone has come to rain on my parade.

"Will you excuse me for just a minute, Danny?" I asked sweetly before crossing the street to the alley my father had ducked into.

Crowley stepped out onto the sidewalk when he saw me coming.

"Hello, love. Wonderful day for a stroll, eh?" He said, smiling at me.

I rolled my eyes. "Cut the crap, dad. Why are you following me?"

"These are the lengths I've been forced to go to. You won't introduce me to this new man in your life so I decided to see him for myself." Crowley said.

"Oh, please. You're just trying to ruin my date." I said, crossing my arms.

"A father deserves to know who his daughter is seeing!" Crowley exclaimed, a little louder than he normally would.

"Father?" Danny said from behind me. I turned quickly to face him, but didn't see what I expected. His expression was full of confusion and anger. "Crowley is your father?!"

I froze. He knows who Crowley is. There's only a handful of logical explanations for that.

"Wait a minute. Are you a hunter?" I asked Danny.

Danny nodded curtly. Seeming too shocked and angry to speak.

I whirled around to face Crowley. "You knew that, didn't you?"

"Of course, darling. The Winchesters aren't the only plaid wearing, weapon packing, foul smelling hunters I work with." Crowley answered calmly.

"Winchesters? Oh, God. You were never going to tell me any of this, were you?" Danny asked.

"I didn't think it was important. I had no idea." I wanted to point out that he hadn't told me he was a hunter either, but he didn't deserve that.

"I would have told you, if you had just let me in your life." My dad added.

"Every time I let you in something just like this happens!" I yelled at my father.

Danny ran his hand over his face. "I have to go. I can't deal with this right now."

"Danny wait, please." I pleaded. I laid my hand on his shoulder but he shrugged it off.

"No, Leah. I need some time, and some space." He said before walking away towards the ice cream parlor where he left his car.

I looked over at Crowley. The smug look on his face was fading.

"Thanks a lot." I snapped.

Crowley sighed. "I didn't think he'd react that rashly."

"Are you kidding me right now?"

"Let me make it up to you. There's a pub on the next block. Let me buy you a drink." My father offered.

I glared at him. "Fine. But just one."
