Leah's P.O.V.

I rolled over and looked at my alarm clock, feeling like I'd been hit by a truck. When my eyes focused on the time I jumped out of bed. 10 AM, I should have been up three hours ago. Memories of the night before flashed through my head as I tried to find a matching pair of shoes to put on. I was convincing myself it was all just a really weird dream as I walked down the hallway to Mary Grace's room.

Her room was empty, which shocked me. She would sleep all day if I let her. I picked up my pace, running down the stairs into the empty living room. I went into the kitchen, losing my mind. My kid isn't here. I overslept and my kid is gone.

"Whoa. Calm down, Leah." I heard from the direction of the kitchen table. Dean was sitting there with a beer reading the newspaper.

"Calm down? Gracie is missing and you tell me to calm down?" I asked frantically.

Dean smiled slightly. "She's not missing, she's at school. I got her ready and put her on the bus."

I joined him at the table, trying to catch my breath from the panic attack I almost had. "Why in the hell didn't you wake me up?"

"How about a thank you for letting you sleep in? Or for carrying your drunk ass upstairs last night?" Dean retorted.

"So that wasn't a dream then?"

"God, no. You were trashed."

I closed my eyes and leaned back in my chair, a feeling of self-loathing taking over. "So I tried to..."

"Get in my pants? Yeah. That happened." Dean confirmed.

"I'm really sorry about that." I confessed.

Dean shrugged. "It's not like I minded it. Look, Leah there's something I need to talk to you about."

"What's that?" I asked. I started to worry out of habit. The last time Dean said we needed to talk I moved out of the bunker.

"Yesterday when I was talking to Grace, she called your boyfriend her daddy. I'm gonna be completely honest here, it really pissed me off. I'm still pissed. But seeing you hurt last night... I couldn't be mad at you then. I talked to Sam earlier about it, so I'm a lot calmer than I was but I'm still not okay with it. That shit is far from okay."

I couldn't stop the smile that was spreading across my lips. "She didn't call him daddy. She calls him her Danny. You just misheard her."

"Oh." Dean replied, looking slightly embarrassed. "Is his name really Danny? I could have sworn you said Jason."

I shook my head. "Well, whatever his name is I really don't want to talk about him right now."

Dean nodded. "How about I make you some breakfast?"

I stared at him in shock. "Wait a minute. You're telling me that you woke up early, got our daughter ready for school, made sure she actually got to school, and now you're going to cook for me? Who are you and what did you do to Dean Winchester?"

He chuckled. "You're real cute. I just thought I'd help out, since you can't handle your liquor."

"I'm sorry I'm not a Winchester with lots of heavy drinking experience."

Dean got up and started looking through my fridge. "I think you're a Winchester. Like an honorary family member. I mean, you are the mother to my only child."

"That you know of." I muttered in response.

"I heard that. How's eggs sound?"

"Like you've fertilized more than you claim." I said, smiling.

Dean snorted from the other side of the refrigerator door. "I have to admit that was pretty good."

After a surprisingly good breakfast I washed the dishes and conversation started again.

"Remember the first time you had hard liquor?" Dean asked, looking reminiscent.

I felt my face flush. "I remember you goading me into getting drunk with you."

Dean grinned. "That was a good night. One of the best nights of my life."

"I nearly died of embarrassment the next morning."

"We had fun though." Dean said, his eyes staring deeply into mine. Almost instinctively we started leaning in towards each other.

I'm not sure where it would have gone if there wouldn't have been a knock at the front door.

I jumped out of the chair I was sitting in, feeling like I'd been caught doing something I shouldn't be. "I'll get that." I said nervously.

I looked through the peephole in the door. I wasn't expecting the person that was standing on the porch. Pulling the door open slowly, I stood in the gap so he couldn't see in.

Danny shuffled where he stood. "How are you?" He asked.

I raised an eyebrow. Seriously?

"That's a stupid question, isn't it?" He sighed. "Can I come in and sit down or something? I've never done something like this before."

I shook my head curtly, still remaining silent. Not only because of my disappointment. I don't need Dean coming to investigate.

"I deserve that, I guess. Look, Leah, I'm sorry I left yesterday. I just couldn't wrap my head around the fact that you are literally the devil's daughter. I mean, you're so nice. Nothing at all like Crowley. I thought I knew everything about you."

I shrugged. "Well, I thought the same about you. You didn't have to come here and apologize to me. Trying to make yourself feel better about leaving. I can handle it, really. I'm every bit as strong as you are."

"I don't doubt that. I can overlook who your dad is for you, Leah. I've wanted to tell you this for a while now... I love you." Danny confessed.

Movement behind me caused me to freeze. Danny looked up from my face to Dean who had appeared behind me. Dean pulled the door the rest of the way open and stood beside me, sizing Danny up as his arm wound protectively around my waist.

Danny was a few inches taller and more muscled up than Dean. Normally Danny would have looked much scarier, but the look on Dean's face would make most people's blood run cold.

"Well, ain't that sweet?" Dean Winchester asked sarcastically.
