for some reason i like thinking that there are people who see my drawings and think "hOW DID SHE DO THIS" (in a positive way ya know) like that makes me smile

i used to think hair was a pAIN to draw digitally and was a lot more fun to do traditionally but know its the complete other way around

i kinda forgot how to draw traditionally tbh

but seriously guys stop like coMPARING yourselves bc itll get you nowhere

compare in the way like "oof i like this fellow's style i wonder how i can incorperate that or how i can use their techniques in my art" not "omg ive been drawing since i was little how come this person is so much better than me ugh i wish i could draw like them"

like fucking stOp with that whole "ive been drawing since i was little" thing i dont cARe the amount of time you have been drawing dOEsnt correlate with how fast you improve, how hard you work, how much you practice, and how much you study

i drew everyday for three years and practiced so much and tried elements of different styles to improve my art and studied anatomy n colors n shiz and worked real hard on my lineart oK so shut iT

i dont think anyone who tells me that stuff reads this tho but stiLL

practice you hoes and you will eventually get really good and you'll get out of that rut of "oh my art is so bad and so and so is so great and theyre my age too" and eventually be satisfied with some of the work you put out then you can work moRE to get even bETter
