"Be strong, be brave, be confident, believe in yourself. Acknowledge the work you've done. You deserve this." I tell my reflection, then shaking my head. Diana walks into the bathroom.

"Hey, Atlantic Records today!"

I turn to her and smile sadly. I was so excited for this, but the fact that my boyfriend had just cheated on me was weighing me down.

"Don't worry about him. You have so much ahead of you, starting today!"

"You're right." I sigh, and then leave the bathroom, turning the light off behind me.

Ellie was on her phone, waiting in the lounge room of the huge house we owned with all of the girls. There were 13 of us, and we all supported each other with everything- we were basically inseparable.

However getting the girls up at 7am was close to impossible, but Ellie and Diana had offered to come with me this morning.

"Morning E." I say, heading to the kitchen counter to grab my purse. "You ready?"

"Of course!" She says, jumping up and putting her phone her pocket. Diana quickly checked her phone, and then checked for the keys. We all walk to the door, and slip our shoes on.

"This could be the last time you walk through these doors as an unsigned artist." Diana teases, nudging me. I look over at her, my smile so genuine it hurt.

"I hope so." I say, opening the door and running to our mustang.

"I'll drive!" Ellie yells, running to the drivers seat.

"Over my dead body." I laugh.

"Tea gets shotgun, I'll drive." Diana says, taking the keys out of her pocket.

"Fine." Ellie pouts, then jumping into the back.

The car ride was long, nerve-wrecking and painful. I couldn't believe it was finally happening. We walked into the large building, and checked in at the front desk. We waited for a while, then we were invited to walk up some stairs, only to be placed in another waiting room.

"I'm gonna go search for some water, do you guys want some?"

"No thanks." They both say in unison, then they turn to each other and laugh.

I walk towards one of the hallways, my entire body shaking. This one meeting could be the reason my dreams come true. I cross a few more corners when I finally find a vending machine. My eyes scanned for water- and luckily, it was there. I inserted a coin, and the vending machine started to make weird noises. I thought it might just be old, so I leaned against the wall and checked my phone. My heart dropped as a ping went off and a notification popped up;

Dmitri

Hey, I hope AR goes well today babe, you deserve it.

Suddenly, my heart started to pound in my chest, all noises from reality drowning out. I dropped my phone to the ground and my body followed suit. I cupped my face in my hands, letting myself cry the way I had the night before.

"He-hey, are you alright? I mean, obviously you aren't alright but, um, would you like some help?"

I looked up to see a concerned face that belonged to a guy with blue eyes and bleached hair, rings encasing the fingers that were gently touching my arm.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine." I try to hold my breath to prevent myself from breathing unevenly, and with my free hand, I wiped under my eyes.

"What happened?" He asked, looking up at me with sincere eyes. Ones that looked like Dmitri's, but Dmitri's were more... distant. Which, now, made a lot of sense.

"My boyfriend cheated on me, but he doesn't know that I know."
"Oh my god, I'm so, so sorry to hear that. I-um... I-"

"What's your name?" I ask curiously.

"I'm Corbyn. It's nice to meet you."

"I'm Tea. It's nice to meet you too."

"I-" He was cut off by a voice that was yelling from around the corner.
"Corbyn, you are needed!"

Then Corbyn looked me in the eyes and said; "I'm sorry, I have to go... but if you don't mind me asking, what are you doing here?"

"I have a meeting with Anne." Suddenly, his eyes light up.

"You're going to love her!"
"Corbyn! Where are you?" The voice yells again.

"I'll be there in a second Jack!" He turns back to face me. "Tell her what happened. She'll understand."
"O-okay. Thank-you."

"Good luck, Tea." Then he stands up and jogs around the corner.

I crawl over to my phone, picking it up, and then walking back around the hallways that kind of looked familiar, then realising I had forgotten to get my water.

I sigh and walk back towards the vending machine, and I grabbed my water. That's when I noticed a dog tag on the ground.

I picked it up, as it wasn't there before

I picked it up, as it wasn't there before. Corbyn must've dropped it.

I slipped it into my purse and walked back towards the girls.

"Get excited, it's almost 9:45!" Ellie exclaims as she sees me walking into the waiting room. Suddenly, both of their faces dropped.

"Are you okay?" They asked in unison. They seemed to do that a lot. I throw my phone towards their general direction and Diana catches it.

"Your Mum texted you good luck! How sweet." She says, Ellie then taking it off of her. "Hey!" Diana teases.

Ellie scrolls down, then seeing the text. "What a jerk. Just forget about him." She says.

I slump down into one of the chairs. "Easier said than done." I mumble.

Suddenly, the door to Anne's office opens.

"Tea? Come in."
