Maria's Point of View
Tea was a fast runner- but I was just as fast.
I saw her jump into a taxi, and immediately the taxi began to drive away. But I'm not letting her go by herself, she needs someone right now.
I ran over to the moving car- it was waiting for other cars to pass by. I approached the car, relief washing over me, but it began to move again.
"No! Stop!" I ran up to the taxi, and it pulled to a hault, waiting for another car. I being to slam my hands against the heavily tinted windows. "Let me in! Let me in!" But the driver didn't stop for long, he carried on driving. "No!" I scream, running after the taxi, but it was about to turn onto the highway. "Please, stop!" But it turned, and before I knew it, the taxi was out of sight.
I sat down on the road, placing my head in my hands. Why did I let her down this time? Why did I let her go when she needed someone to help her?
Suddenly, a hand was on my shoulder, and somebody was sitting down beside me. "Maria, you did everything you can. For now. We can go get another taxi. We can only try." It was Zach. I looked up at him, and through my blurred vision I could see the person who made me the happiest.
"Zach." I whisper, before biting my lip and looking down at the road.
"It's okay, she'll be fine. We will find her." He stands up, and waves his hand around, grabbing a new taxi's attention. "Where do you think she's gone?"
"Straight to the airport."
"But she hasn't got a ticket." He points out, but I shake my head.
"It's Tea. She'll find a way to get one."
The taxi pulls up next to us, and we both get in.
"Where am I driving you both."
"The airport, please." Zach said, one of his hands holding mine. "LAX, international."

"You let her get away!" Daniel yells at Corbyn. I had never imagined Daniel would ever get this angry or aggressive. But man, I was wrong.
Corbyn didn't respond. He played with the rings on his fingers, as he stared down at the sand.
"It's your fault, Corbyn." Daniel spits. "For once, you stuffed up." Daniel grabs out his phone, and he called someone, bringing it to his ear.
It rings out, and he looks around at everyone, who were staring at Daniel and Corbyn.
"Let's play another game." Daniel says, eyeing me off, and I throw the volleyball to him. He joined the team that Tea, Maria and Zach were previously on, leaving Corbyn on the other side. Daniel served the ball, and then I hit it. It went over the net to Ashley, who attempted to hit the ball, but stumbled, but Jonah came in and saved it.
"Damn Jonah." I could hear Erin say.
Corbyn hit the ball, and it flew over to Daniel, who spiked it back over, towards Corbyn again. It hit Corbyn right in his face, the blow so strong that Corbyn struggled to regain his balance.
I bit my lip as Corbyn stood up straight again, and him and Daniel were glaring at each other.
"Guys, come on." I say, trying to sound confident. "It's Erin's birthday, just chill."
Daniel continued to glare at Corbyn. He seemed so angry, and it scared me to death, sending shivers down my spine.
"Why?" Daniel says, still glaring at Corbyn.
"Why what, Daniel?"
"Why did you stop me from talking to her?"
Corbyn hesitates. He was hiding something.
"Daniel, I want to tell you, but I can't."
"What, why can't you tell me? Is it because you think you have the right to keep me away from her because you've known her the longest? What is wrong with you Corbyn?"
"You have a point, Daniel." Corbyn says, stepping underneath the net to face Daniel. "I have known her the longest. And if it wasn't for me, you wouldn't even know she exists. She wouldn't know that you exist."
Daniel bit his lip. Something Corbyn had said had made him angry and sad. He didn't look like he wanted to kill Corbyn anymore. He looked like he wanted answers.
"Corbyn, can you at least tell me who has hurt her?" Daniel says, sounding desperate, when suddenly their conversation stopped. Jack grabbed my hand, and I looked at him, confused.
"Jack, what's happening?" I whisper, and he gives me a small smile. He opened his mouth to speak, when somebody interrupted him.
"Wow, guys. You all thought you could have a party and not invite me?"

Tea's Point of View
I was still shaking as I held the plane ticket in my hand. I couldn't stop crying. I couldn't stop thinking about how stupid I was to have moved to Los Angeles, when I could've stayed in Australia. I had everything I ever needed there. Incredible friends, my awesome family, perfect education opportunities. Why did I come here in the first place?
I couldn't stop thinking about how I'd lost my best friend. Holly. She was gone.
Holly was my best friend from Australia. She was born in Melbourne, but after she was eighteen months old, she moved to America. She lives in New York for 6 years, then coming back to Australia for a few, then moving to LA for a couple.
She was always there for me when I needed her, and I always there for her when she needed me. She lived in New York for a bit, went to College, and then she went back to Australia. She's been living there for a year. A year since I lived in the same continent as her. A year since I'd seen her face. A year since I heard her voice. A year since I spent time with her.
The last year I could've spent with her, I didn't. And now she was gone. Forever.
And I still don't know how.
My phone began to buzz, and unless it was Hannah or Taylor or Rachel or Cill, I wasn't planning on answering.
It was Daniel.
I let it ring out.

I saw her there, putting her phone down. Resting her head in her hands. I knew she would be here. She wasn't one to leave the people she loved waiting. But where was her boyfriend? Why was she alone?
I guess this is what she gets for putting me on the backburner.
For forgetting about me so quickly.
This is what she gets for leaving me with no second thoughts.
After all, she lived off the saying, everything happens for a reason.
Because everything does happen for a reason.
