Chapter Sixteen

Maria's Point of View

"I still want to show you that spot, you know." Zach says huskily, his hand resting on top of mine.

"Sure. Is there a safer route to go on?" I laugh, trying to lighten the situation.

"Maria, I've walked that road almost every night for over a year. We were just unlucky, I promise we will be fine."

"If you say so." I smile, and squeeze his hand.

Suddenly, from the corner of my eye, I notice two figures walking through the door. I let out a sigh of relief, and I was so happy to see Tea that I ran up to her. She hugged me so tight I felt like I was going to stop breathing, but I wouldn't let her go.

"You're okay." She says, as though she was reassuring herself.

"I'm fine, just a few scratches." I say, and she breaks away to access the damage.

"That's not too bad." She smiles, and we both turn to look at Daniel and Zach. They both looked so happy to see each other, and Daniel looked as relieved as Tea looked. "We should take you guys home." She says, addressing both Zach and I, and I smile.

Tea's Point of View

When we entered the house, I remembered that the 10 other girls were going shopping today. I go up the stairs- Daniel, Maria and Zach following me.

I opened the door to our room, and instantly, my jaw dropped. Ellie and Jack were making out, right in the middle of the room. Right as I tried to quickly but silently push everyone back out of the room, Jack and Ellie's heads whipped over to where we were standing.

"Oh my god." Ellie says, and she stumbles to sit on her bed, Jack doing the same.

"Uh..." I laugh, smiling awkwardly, looking over to Daniel, hoping for him to help save the awkward situation.

"I... um..." Is all he says, and we start laughing

"We'll leave." I say, giggling, and I point to the door. Daniel and I begin to walk out the door, when Jack begins to speak.

"Actually, guys..." He says, laughing. "We were wondering if Zach and Maria were feeling okay?"

"You can ask them yourself." Daniel says, awkwardly rubbing his neck as Maria and Zach enter the room. Ellie runs up and hugs Maria, and Jack walks up and does this really cool handshakes with Zach, then pulling him into a hug. I look up at Daniel, and he smiles at me, reaching for my hand. I lace my fingers through his.

"I love seeing everyone so happy." I say, while the others talk to each other.

"Me too." Daniel says, laughing. His laugh was my favourite thing in the entire world.

"We were also wondering if you guys wanted to go out for lunch." Maria says after a minute or so, addressing all of us.

"Sounds cool!" I smile.

"Sure!" Maria exclaims.

"I'm hungry. So yes." Zach says and we all laugh.

"We should go to The Grove." Daniel suggest, and Ellie gasps.

"Oh my God yes, can we go to Cheesecake Factory?" She asks, and we all laugh at how excited she had gotten.

"Sounds good. Let's go!" Jack says, and we all get up.

"One problem." I say, laughing at how we could've possibly forgotten. "We have no car." Our house of girls had two cars, one which I had taken to the boy's house, and the other the girls had taken to go shopping. Daniel and I had taken a taxi to and from the hospital four times, the last trip taking Maria and Zach with us. Then I realised- how did Jack and Ellie get here?
