I knocked nervously on the door to the house- it was a little bit smaller than the house I shared with the girls, but it was still huge. I thought about the dog tags, and who they belonged to. I had put both Corbyn's and Jonah's in the glovebox of the car, so that they were safe. Suddenly, the door flew open, to reveal Corbyn. Without thinking, I jumped into his arms.

"Hey! Are you okay?"

"No. But thank you so much for this." I smile into his shoulder, and I let go of him.

"Any time! So, what happened?"

"It's my boyfriend. The one that cheated on me. Although, I'm referring to him as my psychopath ex from now on." I laughed a little, trying to lighten the mood, and to my relief, Corbyn laughed too. "He came in and he was so aggravated and irritated and bipolar.. one minute he got super angry at me to the point where I was frightened, and the next he was trying to throw pillows at me to soften the mood."

"Damn, that sucks. I'm so sorry. Was that pillow pun intended?"

"Wow, Corbyn. You're funny." I try not to laugh at his stupid joke, but fail.

"Make yourself feel at home."

"Thanks again, Corbyn. You're a legendary stranger." I smile and he laughs. This boy seemed to take away all the pain I had been through.

I take out my phone and I decide to text Jonah.

You

Hey, it's Tea. I'm the girl you met at the supermarket.

I turned my phone off and placed it on the couch. I yawned- I had had such a huge day.

"Would you like something else to wear, in case you fall asleep?"
"That would be amazing, thanks. Only if you have something." I smile gratefully- this boy was an angel.

"I'll find something! I'll be back in a second." He smiles and I smile back at him.

My life was some sort of strange movie at the moment. But I'm glad I had someone here to pause the movie- to slow down time and make it all better. A stranger. A goddamned stranger.

Suddenly, my phone buzzes- it's Annie.

"Tea? Tea!" She says happily into the phone.

"Are you okay?" Ellie asks seriously.

"Slightly traumatised." I say softly.

"Where the hell are you?" Scout asks.

"Don't worry, Mother." I tease. It was an ongoing joke, that Scout was the mother figure of the group. "I'm at a friend's house."

"What friend? We are your only friends." Myah said, and I laughed.

"Ouch that hurt!" I pretend to be offended, and I could hear Corbyn's footsteps coming down the stairs. "I'm gonna go guys, I'll talk tomorrow. I need to get my mind off of things." I say, and there was a chorus of 'sure' and 'we understand'. "Thanks guys." I say, and hang up.

Corbyn hands me a jumper. "It's one of my roommates hoodies, but it's clean, so..." I laugh, and he does too.

"Thanks Corbyn." I stand up and wrap my arms around him. "Thanks for everything." I whisper in his ear, and our hug tightened.

"Of course. It's no problem." I step back and smile, taking the jumper.

"Where's the bathroom?" I ask, laughing.

"Just to your right." He says.

"Right. I'm stupid." We both laughed again.

"Another pun!?" Corbyn yells as he was walking towards the kitchen. Corbyn made me realise I wanted to laugh at everything, all the time. This house just had a vibe about it... a really happy one.

I took off my crop shirt, and my skirt. Luckily I had been wearing smallish shorts underneath my skirt. I slipped the hoodie over my head, and damn, it smelt so good. It was almost completely black with a reddish-orange 'd' on it. It was super big on me, and it was incredibly comfortable. I grabbed my clothes and walked back into the loungeroom, placing them next to my purse.

"Hey, I'm kind of tired." Corbyn says after we finish an episode of Riverdale.

"Me too." I sigh, playing with my phone.

"Well, my roommates are out for the night, and I think they were staying in a hotel in central LA for the night."
"Why aren't you with them?" I ask.

"I didn't feel like it." He smiles. "Someone has to keep an eye on the house." He jokes.

"Yes, Corbyn. I'm sure it's gonna get up on its two feet and run away." We both laugh.
"I'll show you the spare room. I share a room with two other guys, and the two other guys share a separate room." He takes me up the stairs, and I bring my phone with me.

"Again, make yourself feel at home."

"I can't thank you enough Corbyn."
"Don't mention it." He smiles, and I give him one last hug before I jump into the bed furthest from the door. He turns the light off and shuts the door on his way out.

I lay there, my phone on the bedside table, my eyes staring at the ceiling, my nose gratefully inhaling the sent of the jumper. And that was when I wondered- who's bed was I sleeping on?

I turned over onto my side, when I could feel a weight lift from the hoodie, making a chain-like noise. I looked under the covers to see that a dog tag had fallen out of the hoodie. I quickly pick it up and grab my phone's flashlight.

Sure enough, it said 'Why Don't We' on the front.

And when I turned this one around, my heart pounded in my chest. It made me feel different, like something significant in my life had changed.

"Daniel." I say aloud, as I slip the dog tag on and tuck it under my hoodie.

And that night, I had the most amazing thoughts, and the most incredible dreams.

Everything felt so perfect in such a messed up world. All thanks to one boy.

Or maybe three.
