Chapter Twenty Seven

Tea's Point of View, two months later

"Oh my God, Tea. Shut. Up." Taylor said, her mouth ajar and her eyes not quite meeting mine. I shot her a confused look.

"Oi, I'm not even talking." I say defensively.

"You will be in a minute." Hannah said, her pursed lips turning into a smile as she pointed her solo cup towards something behind me.

I turned my head around, and instantly my eyes were locked with someone else's.

His.

He ran one of his perfect hands through his flawless messy hair, and all the music and voices and screaming drowned out completely. It was just me and him. I could feel an uncontrollable grin find its way onto my face. His eyes glistened, and his own smile was radiant. I forgot how much I missed seeing his face every day. I forgot how much I missed him.

I stood up, and we both walked towards each other, dodging intoxicated university students.

"What are you doing here?" I ask him.

"I heard you were in town," He began, his features just as perfect as they had always been. "I missed you." He said, his words lingering in the air.

"I missed you too."

The light behind my eyelids turned pink, painfully burning my eyes. I brought a hand up to cover my face, and slowly opened my eyes. Where the hell was I?

I could hear my phone vibrating rapidly on a glass counter, and I turned towards the irritating noise. I was too tired to open my eyes, so I used my hand to find my phone. My fingers gripped against the white silicon case, and I sat up slowly. My phone was still buzzing.

Facebook: Daniel Seavey's birthday is today!

I could feel my heart rise to my throat, but I forced it back down. I sat there, staring at the notification. My phone felt heavy in my hands, and then it continued to buzz. Snapchat. Instagram. Twitter. Messenger.

"Just as popular as ever." I heard a distantly familiar yet unusually raspy voice say, and my head shot up. He was lying down on a couch across from me, topless, a blanket draped around his waist and legs. His smile grew a little bit, which set off a wave of butterflies in my stomach. He ran a hand through his hair, which was even messier than normal. His chestnut eyes looked knowingly into mine. "You haven't change a bit."

"Neither have you, Kaiden."

My eyes scanned the room we were in. I was laying on a dull brown couch, and opposite me was the couch Kaiden was lying on. There was a glass coffee table, where my phone had been sitting. At the end of the coffee table was another couch, with nothing but two throw pillows on it, and on the opposite side of the coffee table was a large flatscreen TV. There was an open kitchen, modern cabinets swung open to reveal bare shelves. There was nothing on the large marble table, nor the dining table. Everything was spotless. So spotless it kind of seemed empty.

"This must sound like an immensely dumb question, but where the hell are we?" I asked him, and instantly his face fell.

"I was hoping that you knew the answer to that question."

"You don't know where we are!?" I stood up immediately, and that's when I realised I was wearing black sweatpants that had ALDL in white along the side, and a grey shirt. He stood up too, and he was wearing the black sweatpants as well. Thank God the paedophile who changed us into these clothes had put a top on me. A chill ran up my spine just thinking about it. "Kaid, where are our clothes?" He walked around to try and find his phone, I presumed, and that's when I realised I had never seen him without a shirt on in person before. I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks, so I subtly looked away. I turned around and looked out the large feauture windows, and then my heart skipped a beat, my head pounding in fear.
