Chapter 8: The Agreement

Yet again, I have failed to update as much as possible. I know there aren't many excuses but still hope you enjoy this update. One more thing. Happy Late New Year! I hope that 2018 brings great things for you. Anyway back to the story.

Krys's P.O.V
"Krys!!" Knock Knock. "Hey, Krys! Wake up!!!" I wake with a start as I hear someone consistently yelling my name and knocking really hard on the door. I suddenly get annoyed when I glance at the clock and see that it's 6 in the morning and the sun hasn't even come up yet. "What is it?!" I yell at the door in annoyance. "Drager is calling for ya!" I hear someone yell on the other side of the door. "Tell him I'll be there in a few!" I yell at the door again as I get up and start rummaging through the drawers for clean clothes to take a shower. "Are ya sure you can find his office?" the person asks skeptically from the other side of the door. I make my way towards it and suddenly pull it open to find someone way older than me. He looked about 19 years old and was wearing black clothing that matches his midnight black hair. I stare at his eyes and see that they're a clear ocean blue. Before I look like a freak, just staring at him, I say, "Remember one thing. I'm smarter than I look, I can remember everything I see, and I never miss a detail. So don't, and I mean don't doubt me. Ya hear?"  "Crystal clear." he says, and I can see that he's a little uneasy. I guess my hostility gave him the chills. Oh well, like I care what people think about to me. As I'm about to close the door, he speaks up again. "I'm Luka Knight by the way and I'm sorry that I underestimated you." I look up at him as he says " I'll take my leave and let him know that you're on your way." And with that, he turns around and walks away. I shake my head and turn around to get ready. When I'm dressed and ready to go, I leave my room and make my way towards Aaron's office. As I see the great, big, shiny, oak doors come into view as I turn a corner, I find Yuri with her arm in a cast and the same guy standing beside her. I ignore them and go and knock on the door. I hear a faint 'Come in' and open the doors and walk right in. I don't even glance behind me to see if Yuri and that guy followed me in. I look around and find Aaron Drager sitting at his desk. I walk up to him and stare right into his eyes, already knowing what this was about. "I accept your offer to join your League." I say and then walk out of his office. The door shutting with a loud thud behind me. Not even caring if this League exists or not.

Yuri's P.O.V

  "I accept your offer to join your League." says Krys as she walks out and the door shuts behind her. I look at  Akagi and see that he's surprised at Krys's answer. I then look at the man sitting behind the desk to gauge his reaction and see a slight smirk and a somewhat surprised look on his face. What was she talking about? I decided to put my thoughts into words. "What was she talking about?" I ask. The man looks at me and says, "You can leave Akagi. I need to have a talk with her since you've clearly failed." I look at Akagi to see him frown and turn around to walk away. Soon the door shuts behind him as well. I look back at the man with the question clearly written on my face. "I need to tell you about the Assassins' League." he says to me and then starts his explaining. After he's done with his explanation, he tells me what apparently he told Kry the other day. "We are looking for more people like you. We are giving you a choice, but leaving is not one of them. Unless you don't want to see the light of day ever again." he says with a glint in his eyes. "So with this, one I give you a choice, you can either become an Assassin and join the Assassins' League, or you could become an innocent and still be in the Assassins' League, under our protection of course." he says listing me my choices. 'This is our chance, to take our family name and leave it in the hands of someone else.' I think to myself. "I accept your offer to become an Assassin and join your Assassins' League." I say in a clear voice. "Good to hear. Ms. Yuri. You may now go to your room and wait for a tour of the building." Mr. Drager says and then turns around to walk behind his desk and sit down. I then turn around, noticing that I am dismissed and leave the room. I see Akagi outside. "You decided to stay!" Akagi says. "Well, I didn't have much of a choice." I reply back in a dry voice. "What I meant is that you decided to become one of us!" he replies excitedly. "One of you?" I ask."Yeah. But I'll explain later." he says after seeing the confusion on my face. He leads me to my room and then tells me to wait in here. I do as he says and sit down on my bed and look out the window, wondering what I just signed up for.

Hey! Again I'm so so so so so so so sorry about not updating for a while. I'm getting really busy, with well, my life. And then add writer's Block on top of that and you get the mess that is my life.
