Chapter Eighteen

I began to lighten up about after spending my time joking around with Joe and Conor, they were both hilarious and definitely managed to keep me occupied, however when I started to feel the alcohol getting to my head I decided I needed to go out for some fresh air. I went outside by myself and sat down on the chair checking my phone. It was 11:00 and to be honest I was considering heading home already. Joe and Conor were great company, but I also had a while to travel.

Whilst I was sitting outside getting lost in my imagination, I noticed a presence with me. I turned around to see Jack approaching me.

"You aren't a smoker are you?" Jack asked concerned and I shook my head.

"No." I chuckled. 

"Good."

"Why's that good?"

"Because that may be a turn off." He said sitting down besides me.

I chuckled slightly and then looked back to the ground.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm just feeling a little.." I said.

"Drunk." He butted in taking the words straight out my mouth and laughed.

"Yeah."

"Sorry I didn't stay with you the whole night, I've just been catching up with some people."

"It's okay I've been getting to know Maddie and her friend, plus Conor and Joe have been good company."

Jack smiled at me. "I'm glad."

"I think I might head off soon though."

Jack then took his phone out his pocket checking the time. "It's only 11."

"I know, I just want to make sure I get home alright and I'm already feeling it."

"How are you getting home?"

"Probably a cab."

"Won't that take a while?"

"Probably, but I don't think I'll make the last train."

"You can stay at mine if you want." Jack offered, but I wasn't sure how I felt about that.

"I don't know, I don't want to intrude." I replied, I also imagined going back to Jack's and having Sophia join us there...

"I'm not letting you get a cab back to yours alone while you're drunk, anything can happen."

"I'll be alright, honestly. Plus I've left myself one day to think of a new video and record it, I need all the time I can get tomorrow."

"Sounds like the perfect opportunity for that collab then." Jack winked. "You can stay around mine and tomorrow we can film something for your channel?"

"You aren't going to let me get out of this, are you?" I asked and Jack shook his head and laughed.

"I want to make sure you're safe. You can take my bed and I'll sleep on the sofa, it's no issue."

"If you're sure?" 

Jack nodded again. "You are very stubborn." He laughed. "Come on lets get back inside and I'll order us a uber in a bit?"

Once we got back inside I re-joined Joe and Conor who were now on the sofa with Casper and Jack followed me.

"Conor, we're going to head off in a bit, Demi is coming back to ours. Are you coming?"

Conor also then went and checked his phone for the time and shook his head and laughed. "Mate it's 11. The party hasn't even started yet."

"Why are you leaving?" Casper asked.
