Chapter Twenty-Four

It had been a few days since the date with Jack and I guess things have gone ok. Unfortunately there was no kiss at the end of the date and after almost 24 hours after the date ended Jack eventually text me. I didn't know how to take it at first, maybe I did just put him off by saying I'm not looking to fool around. He has been responding to me since the day after but the replies aren't anywhere near as consistent as they have been the past couple weeks. I've spoken to both Dylan and Jessica about the situation and they have both told me different things. Jessica believes he's basically trying hard to get with me so soon enough I won't be able to resist him and make the first move. Dylan thinks telling him what I did blew my chances and Jack is still trying to figure out how to tell me that and honestly I think I'm on the same page as Dylan, the whole situation was too good to be true to begin with.

Whilst I was getting caught up in my thoughts I heard my phone buzz and quickly turned to the screen hoping it was Jack, unfortunately it wasn't Jack, but Joe instead so I wasn't too upset by the outcome.

Your Great Youtubers Bake Off video has come up on my recommended again and just noticed it has 1 million views! Congratulations!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I read Joe's message, he must be having me on. I know the views for this video have been rocketing like crazy, but it was only on 800,000 when I checked yesterday. I quickly opened up my laptop and went straight onto YouTube, Joe was right, it did have 1 million views, well 1,011,217 to be exact. I was freaking out as I replied back to Joe.

Omg! I thought you were having me on, but it's true!

Joe

Ah come on, would I lie to you? :P

Demi 

Well I'm not a quite the Sugg expert but I know you're very popular for your pranks!

Joe

I guess that's a fair enough reply haha! I was wondering, were you thinking on making it a series?

Demi

I haven't really thought about it actually, but I've seen loads of comments asking me to do another one so I guess I probably will at some point

Joe

I think you should, it's the best idea on here right now! If you are looking for someone I'm not going to lie I would love to get behind this and be in a video? Only if you want though haha

I had to let that sink in for a minute after reading his last message. I know I've already been in a ThatcherJoe video now, and my current video with Jack is currently blowing up, but to hear and have Joe actually ask to be in one of my videos is mental, right? Even when he offered to collab with us one day as a thanks, I never expected he would actually want to.

You know what, that is a great idea. I still have no idea what I want to do for my next video so if you're free at all during the week we can do it then?

Joe and I then went on to arrange a date to film and I soon went to sleep as I was getting up early tomorrow to meet Dylan and George to film videos for their channels.

Despite not having anywhere near as many hours sleep as I would like, I still forced myself out of bed and went on with my morning routine, the last thing I'd want is to be late when we only have so much time to film, plus I haven't seen Dylan and George for two weeks. After getting myself ready I hopped into my car and drove down to George's where he and Dylan were waiting for me.

I was glad to see George was in a much better mood when I arrived compared to how he was the last time I saw him. I didn't bother trying to speak to him besides on the group chat after that, but now he seemed to be back to the good, old, funny George we all know and love. Seeing him this way again kind of made me feel guilty at the fact I haven't told him about myself and Jack yet and now I want to tell him, but I feel like I would just make things worse by mentioning it so late when I've already told Dylan I decided I would wait for the right moment to arise to tell him what's actually been going on in my life since the absence. 

It was after finishing Dylan's video that George turned around to me and actually spoke about my most recent video for the first time.

"I can't believe you've hit 1 million views in just a week!" He expressed his shock.

"I still don't believe it myself. I expected it would get more views for featuring Jack, but I'm sure not even he gets this many views this fast himself. It's unreal!" I replied.

"It's because the idea of a 'Great Youtubers Bake Off' is epic. I'm shocked no one else ahs actually thought of it before. That was a golden idea." Dylan explained.

"I'm so happy I decided to do it. It's been crossing the back of my mind for months, but I didn't think it would go well."

"If you had told us this idea then and we did it just think about how big we'd actually be right now." George said.

"To be honest I think having Jack in it really did me favours, if I had just done it with us back when we had an even smaller following I think it would have been less likely to make it.

"Meh." George sighed.

"Well it's only up from here guys. We've gained a lot of attention for ourselves in the past two weeks and its crazy. All of us collaborating with Joe, Caspar, Jack and Mickey and you guys with Saffron and Anastasia. I'm really starting to feel hopeful about out future in YouTube. Not to mention I even received a text off Joe yesterday where he asked to be in my video."

"As if Joe Sugg, Zoella's brother is actually asking to be in one of your videos?" Dylan spoke in disbelief. "He must really have faith in you and if he does we all should." He laughed along with George.

"He actually asked if I was making my Bake off into a series and asked if he could feature in my next one." 

"Did you tell him there's a waiting list for the bake off?" George joked.

"Yeah told him it'll be at in the second series at least." I continued the joke and giggled. "Nah, he's actually filming with me on Thursday."

"What?" George suddenly responded and I couldn't quite make out the expression on his face.

"I know, Joe Sugg on Demi's YouTube Bake Off, who next? Pewdie Pie?" I laughed assuming I was on the same page as George.

"What the fuck." He spat getting up from the sofa and walking towards the kitchen. Dylan and I both exchanged a look and watched him carry on. "You're joking right?"

"I can't even tell if you're being serious right now." I basically whispered not wanting to get on the wrong side of him.

"You're the one that's not being serious. You ditch us to film with fucking Jack and decide to do some mega video that you never told us you had been thinking about for a while and then when it gets big you don't even want to involve us and ditch us for Joe as well!"

"Mate, it's not that deep." Dylan spoke up trying to calm him down.

"I only filmed that video with Jack because the two of you ditched me for Saffron and Anastasia and left me to go to Joe's party on my own and Jack insisted that I stayed around his instead of going home alone!" I argued back to him.

"He only insisted you stay at his so you would sleep with him. I wouldn't be shocked if you actually did that as well!"

"I can't believe you!" I shouted and stood up. "Who do you think you are? Get over yourself George." I walked over to him. "If you think you're getting a video done today you can keep dreaming, obviously you aren't big enough for me to film with you." I spat and charged out the house. I heard someone following me out and I assumed it was Dylan, if it was George then he really doesn't know when to stop himself.
