13. Beach Party

We joined the others on the nearly deserted beach, the wind whipping through my hair. Lucy and Finn were splashing around in the waves that came onto the beach, and Tamsin and Harry were running through the water along the beach. Zayn was giving Josie a piggyback ride, and fell over into a heap. They didn't stop laughing until Zayn got up and brushed himself off, before picking her up him his arms and carried on walking.

"It's nice here don't you think?" I said, looking along the coastline,

"You should see it here when's its dark," He sighed, "We'll start a campfire and stay here a while."

"Ok, but I'll need to get some food soon," I laughed, "it's nearly 1.00."

"Alright, we'll get something to eat. What do you want?" He asked,

"Subway." I said, "Defiantly Subway."

"Ok." He chuckled, "I'll be right back, stay with one of the boys."

He ran off up the beach, and jogged down the road out of sight. I sighed to myself in content, but as I turned around I crashed into Louis.

"Hey..." He smirked,

"What?" I groaned,

"You and Niall." He rocked on his heels, "it's so obvious it's painful."

"Come on, Louis." I whined, "At least don't bother Niall about it."

"Oh don't worry." He grinned, "I've already annoyed Jayn and Tarry."

"Oh god Louis why?" I groaned, "you aren't going to make yourself popular."

"Here comes Niall. Enjoy yourself." He smirked as he looked over my shoulder and winked, before walking away with his hands in his pockets.

As I turned I saw Niall walking down the sandy hill with a subway bag in one hand and a box in the other. When he saw I was looking he quickly tucked it in his back pocket. What was that?

"I got you a tuna sandwich, good guess?" He rasied his eyebrows in hope,

"Great guess." I laughed as he took it out and handed it to me as he got his own out.

He grinned happily, before walking over to a bench with me following. We sat down and began eating as we watched the others run up and down, falling over in Josie's case. Harry had pushed Louis into the sea, clothes and all. Tamsin was on the shore, laughing her ass off as Louis pulled Harry in after him. Liam had found a few shells, and had recreated the photo of him with the shells on his chest.

I looked a bit more down the beach to see Josie and Zayn in each others arms, gently rocking back a forth. She had her head against his chest as he rested his chin on her head. They looked peaceful, in comparison to the scene that was going down in the water a few yards away. Lucy and Finn were doing something in the sand, but I couldn't see because their backs were to me.

Even after we had finished eating, we stayed at the beach for the rest of the afternoon, occassionally going for a walk, walking back up the pier or down the beach, or playing some sort of childish game until the sun went down.

"Well I did promise that we would have a campfire after sunset." Niall smiled, as we collected bits of wood from underneath the pier and around the beach.

"How are we going to light to though?" I frowned,

Liam suddenly smirked widely,

"What, Payno?" I laughed,

"I was in scouts." He grinned proudly, "I can light a fire with a stone and a knife."

"Go nuts." Lucy said, gesturing towards the pile of wood.
