Beth's POV

My eyes widened as I desperately bashed at the buttons on the wall, trying all the different ones to no avail. The entire lift suddenly fell dark, with only the red emergency lights on, dimply illuminating Niall's face. He only smirked as I panicked.

"Niall! This isn't good!" I said, my breathing rapidly increasing in speed.

"I don't see what you mean." He shrugged.

"No seriously. I'm really scared." I said, my legs starting to shake nervously.

His face instantly dropped, suddenly becoming serious, his eyes scanning over me quickly.

"Oh I'm so sorry, princess." He whispered, "C'mere."

I quickly cuddled into him as he wrapped his arms around me protectively, holding me as close to him as possible.

"It'll be ok, don't worry." He comforted me, rubbed my arms with his hands soothingly.

I said nothing as I huddled into him, trying to stop myself from shaking too violently. He noticed that I didn't seem to be calming down any time soon, placing soft, tender kisses to my forehead as I let out shaky breaths.

"Let's sit down." He murmured, letting go of me for a split second to sit down before he held his arms out again for me.

I soon sat down with him again, cuddling myself up into a ball against him, once again resting against him with his arms around me guardingly. He rested his head on top of mine and rocking us back and forth calmingly.

"You're really warm you know." He said quietly, laughing slightly.

"Oh well that's good." I huffed, "I'm glad I knew that before I died."

"You realise there's a safety system in lifts that mean they actually can't fall." He said.

"What?" I questioned, looking up at him.

"There's a cable that automatically locks when it stops working. Which means you can jump around as much as you like but the lift won't move, like this..."

He suddenly started moving around, making the lift shake and jolt, and even though the lift never fell, I still curled up more squealed, making him laugh, "See?"

"I hate you sometimes." I muttered, even though I was trying not to laugh.

"But you said you wanted to stay with me, forever." He sounded offended as his grip subconsciously got tighter.

"I'll take it back if you don't stop scaring me." I warned jokingly, although Niall seemed to take it literally.

"I'm so sorry; I didn't think it would scare you! I'm so sorry!" He pleaded, pushing his face into my neck, his hot breath flowing down my skin.

"Well next thing," I said, "How do we get out?"

"I'll call Louis." He said, pulling his phone out and skimming through his contacts.

"Why Louis?" I asked, watching him as he went through his phone.

"He knows the ins and outs of this building more than anyone, like seriously, I don't know how, but he knows about all the secret passages to places and stuff."

"Wow that cleared everything up." I scoffed,

"Well I don't know how he knows, he just does." He laughed, tapping the call button and holding the phone to his ear.

I heard the faint beeping noises of the phone making the call, before it stopped abruptly and a voice sounded from the other side.

"Hello?" Louis' voice sounded from the other end.
