5. The Day Ahead

Beth's POV

We had agreed that we would try and go out somewhere today, even though we knew that it would be difficult, considering that the fans knew exactly where the boys were at every time of the day. I'm definitely proud to be part of this fandom, who can hack security cameras just so we could watch them order drinks. I swear we could do better detective work than MI5.

"Everyone ready?" Louis turned to face us, holding the keys to the car.

"Yep, let's go." Harry said, taking Tamsin's hand, and following him out the the door.

Zayn smiled to Josie before doing the same, quickly followed by me and Niall.

We snuck carefully out of the back of the building, climbing into the Range Rover that was parked behind a set of buildings to be hidden from the crowd.

"I know just where to go." Louis mumbled before started the car up and pulling out into a quiet back road, conveniently, there were no fans there.

The car was pretty crowded though, since there was 8 of us, and there was 5 seats. We easily solved that though, with Louis and Liam in the front, and and the rest of us sitting in the back, me, Josie and Tamsin sitting on Niall, Zayn and Harry's laps. Even though it was quite comfy, I was scared I was making Niall uncomfortable, and I think Niall noticed.

"Don't worry, princess." He smiled, "you can't hurt me that easily."

I smiled back at him, and he rested his chin on my shoulder and hugged me tighter toward himself. I watched as the scenery flew by, and saw that we were moving into a more foresty area. The road was sheltered by trees, and beyond them were rolling fields and landscapes. It was beautiful.

Louis pulled the car over at the side of the road, and gestured for us all to get out. We all, ratherly awkward, got out of the car, or in Tamsin's case, fell. She tells us that she tried to step onto the ground, but misjudged the distance, and fell ungratefully onto the pavement. While the rest of us laughed, Harry got out of the car, taking her hands, and asking if she was ok. You could see how embarrassed she was, but she still nodded, and hugged him.

"This way guys." Liam waved us over to a gap in the bushes.

Once I went to him, I saw there was a path that led on for quite a while through the brush. Niall took my hand, and led me down the path, behind the rest of the group.

It was quite rough down there, roots constantly stuck up from the ground from the surrounding trees.

"Mind out for the roots there, Tams." Harry chuckled,

"Shut up." She laughed, blushing from embarrassment again.

Not even 10 seconds after he said that, Josie managed to get her foot stuck under one of the roots, and nearly went falling to the floor, if Zayn hadn't been there to catch her. He managed to catch her by swinging an arm around her waist and flipping her over so that she was facing him.

"Captain Smooth Moves over here." She laughed, "thanks."

"Don't mention it, babe." He grinned, "where would you be without me?"

"On the floor." I said quickly, making Niall burst out laughing. He almost walked face first into a tree since he was laughing so much.

After another few minutes of walking, Liam parted the bushes to reveal a hilltop, with a landscape so wide and beautiful, you could see for miles. There was a sparkling lake at the bottom of the hill, with either side of it lined with trees. Louis ran ahead, sitting down on the very edge, looking over at the horizon. We followed him, but sat a bit further back so we can have some privacy.

Suddenly, Josie ran past, laughing manically, quickly pursued by Zayn.

"Hey, that's not fair!" He called, "You can just shout 'tag' and leg it without telling me!"

I couldn't help myself from laughing. That's the Josie we all know and love.

Soon, I was lying down on my back, with my hands on my stomach, looking at the different shapes in the clouds. Niall was next to me, feeling the need to comment on every cloud that went past.

"That one looks like a rabbit."

"Yeah it does a bit."

"And that one looks like Father Christmas."

"I don't see it."

"Yeah, you see. Look, there's the beard, hat, eyes."

"Oh yeah I see."

Our cloud watching was cut short when we heard grunting noises coming from our left. When I looked over I saw Harry and Tamsin wrestling.

"Harry that's not fair! She's just a girl." Niall laughed,

"Oh really?" She challenged, "watch this."

Quickly, she went from being pinned underneath Harry, to having him on the floor, with her sitting on him.

"Holy crap your quick." Harry breathed, a bit out of breath.

She giggled, before rolling off him and laying her head down on his chest. I did the same with Niall, and he began stroking my hair.

"This is nice isn't it?" I mumbled against his chest,

"Yeah, we should do this more often."

I nodded, snuggling up more against him, as I carried on watching the breeze gently rock the trees and grass, and the wind blow small waves on the water of the lake.

Everything was perfect.
