Beth's POV

The car ride home had been completely silent, only when Niall occasionally huffed was the silence broken. He must have been really angry, since he didn't even look at me at all, and his knuckles were turning white from the tight grip he had on the steering wheel.

After he parked the car, he got out quickly and slammed the door, walking ahead and opening the door as I slowly shuffled along behind him. I sighed, walking into the house after him and closing the door carefully before kicking my shoes off and going into the kitchen.

Niall just glared at me before going back to looking at his phone. I rolled my eyes, going over to cupboard to get a glass out to get some J2O for myself.

"Why'd you do it?" Niall suddenly asked, the sound of his phone hitting the table roughly making me jump around to look at him.

"It wasn't anything you should worry about, Niall." I reasoned, putting the bottle of J2O down and leaning back against the counter and crossing my arms.

"I knew I should've come with you." He huffed, looking down as he crossed his arms too.

"I thought you and Ashton were friends?"

"I told him not to try to get with you. Since he did, that makes us not friends anymore."

"He was just with me!" I shouted, "I don't get angry at you when I see you talking to Tamsin or Josie, or any of the fans!"

He was quiet, and it was obvious he was thinking over what I had said, before he spoke again.

"But Louis told me that you liked him," He said quietly, clearly trying to contain his rage, "That you might start liking him instead of me."

I could see he was looking over at my hand, the hand with the ring on it that he had given me for my birthday. I closed my fist so that it was out of view, making him look down again.

"Niall, you need to calm down. I am sick and tired of you thinking that I would leave you for Ashton!" I yelled, "Why would I have agreed to moving in with you if I wasn't sure if I loved you or not?"

"I'm just...just..." He started, before taking a breath "I need time to think this over."

I watched him as him turned around and walked out of the room, and I heard the sound of him going up the stairs. I rolled my eyes, popping the cap off my J2O and taking a swig.

I picked my phone out of my bag on the way to the living room, dialling Tamsin's number and waited for her to pick up as I sat down on the sofa. As usual, she left it to the last ring to answer, probably listening to her ringtone again.

"Hi Beth!" She greeted, "How ya doin'?"

"Not so great." I sighed, taking another sip of my drink.

"Oh no, what's wrong?" She asked, sounding concerned. I could tell she was frowning.

"Niall found me and Ash at the gym together and freaked out." I told her, putting the bottle on the floor as I lay down on the sofa. "He has a fixed idea that I'm going to leave him the first chance I've got."

"Where is he now?"

"Upstairs. Don't know where exactly."

"Just give him time to think about it. He'll realise that he's in the wrong soon." She comforted me, before her voice became distance.

"Who are you talking to?" I asked,

"No! Niall caught her and Ash at the gym...No her and Ni are still together....Well you talk to her then!"

I heard the sound of the phone being passed over, being slightly surprised when a man's voice came through.

"Beth? It's Harry." He said, "I can help you with Niall if you want?"

"What do I do when he thinks I'm cheating on him?"

"Go and tell reassure him that you're not going anywhere." He said, "He has trouble believing that not everything in his life is going to leave him. He told me once that he was most scared of you leaving him."

"Ok thanks, Harry." I said, picking up the bottle again and going to go upstairs to find him. "Say bye to Tamsin for me, I'm going into the lion's den."

"Haha, ok then." He laughed, "Bye, Beth. Good luck."

"Bye." I said, hanging it up sliding my phone into my back pocket as I walked up the stairs.

I looked in all the different doors along the corridor until I came to the last room, which was our bedroom. The door was only slightly creaked open, so I looked through the gap to try and see Niall, and when I didn't I became extremely confused.

I opened the door the rest of the way, and 'aw'd at the sight in front of me.

Niall had fallen asleep on his back on the bed, with Jack curled up in the space between his neck and jaw and his hand gently resting on top of him and his other arm laying out to his right. I quietly closed the door and climbed carefully onto the bed, lying down next to him and resting my head on his outstretched arm. I cuddled up next to him, laying my arm across his middle and placing my head by his shoulder.

His eyes slightly opened, smiling lazily when he saw me smiling back at him. He curled his arm over my waist and held me to him.

"I assume this means we're friends again?" I whispered, careful not to wake Jack up.

He nodded, kissing my forehead and my nose before letting his head fall back to the bed again. I lifted my hand to stroke Jack gently, making Niall smile again. He gently took my hand, before holding it to his chest, so I felt the gentle beat of his heart. He let me go, grinning as I kept my hand there.

"I'd describe my love for you like a ripple." He said gruffly, my hand felt his chest shake as he spoke, "Easy to start, it just keeps getting bigger, and you can't stop it, no matter how hard you try."
