Beth's POV

We waved goodbye to the others as we left the apartment, ready for our date together. I looked to Niall after he closed the door, smiling when he took my hand as we walked down the corridor to the lifts. After he had pressed the button, he looked over to me.

"I'm glad we can finally get some alone time." He sighed, "Not that I don't like being with the guys, just, you know.."

"Yeah, I know. Josie and Tamsin are great, but it's nice to be able to just talk to you once in a while." I smiled,

"I don't want to sound creepy or anything, but I've been planning this for a while." He admitted sheepishly,

"That should make it even better then." I squeezed his hand reassuringly.

He blushed, before leaning down to kiss me on the cheek, muttering something that sounded like 'I love you'.

A warm feeling rushed up from my chest and filled my cheeks, making me smile like an idiot. He laughed again before walking us into the lift to continue our journey down.

----

He brought me around to his new Range Rover that he had bought, since he had only recently passed his test. He looked so proud of it, running his finger lightly over the passenger door before turning to me, and opening it with a smile.

I nodded appreciatively, holding his hand as he helping me up into my seat and closed the door like the gentleman he is. After he shut the door, he waved at me and made a really cute face, making me laugh. He got in the drivers seat and started up the car, grinning at the sound of the engine as it hummed.

"Yeeaaahh!!" He laughed, "Now that's what I'm talking about!"

"Alright, alright c'mon," I laughed with him, "Shall we carry on?"

"Oh yeah, right..." He trailed off reversing out of the space and turning into the road.

---

We didn't speak for a while, occasionally looking over at each other, me quickly looking down when he caught me, making him chuckle.

"You excited?" He asked, his eyes not leaving the road,

"Hell yeah!" I laughed, "I can't wait to see what tricks you have up your sleeve..."

"Oh, sounds promising." He smirked, laughing as I punched him in the arm.

"Shut up!" I blushed, "You know what happened last time."

"Well we made the mistake of forgetting that the others were next door."

"So now Zayn, Louis, Liam, Harry, Josie, Tamsin, Luke, Ashton, Callum AND Michael ALL know!"

"But it was so worth it..."

"It was definately worth it..." I chuckled, looking out the windhield again.

There was a silence, where we both sighed, recounting the events that had happened earlier that day.

"Where are we going then?" I asked, looking to him with a smile,

"The Delaunay." He answered simply, "Most expensive restauraunt I could find on Google."

"Nice." I nodded, happy with his choice. "You been there before?"

"No, but I plan to make it a night to remember, for different reasons." I could hear the smirk in his voice.

"Let's see what songs you've been listening to..." I said, reaching toward the radio and pressed the CD button.

"It's got you hypnotized, no beat's too hard to ride.

The club'll be shaking, dead will be wakin'

Cos I don't play nice." Niall started singing quietly,

"Haven't heard this song before..." I commented, before nodding my head along to the beat.

"I guess you could say I'm full of surprises." He laughed,

"Just focus on driving." I laughed along with him.

---

After we had parked the car, he helped me out and led me to one of the most expensive looking restauraunts I had ever seen in my life. Beautiful flowers lined the walls and a warm light flowing from the windows.

The waiter that was waiting by the door greeted Niall with a smile.

"Name?" He asked, consulting a list of names he held in his hand.

"Horan, Niall." He said, squeezing my hand resassuringly.

"Oh yes, Mr Horan. Right this way." He smiled, gesturing inside the building.

We followed him in as he took us into the more private and reserved part of the restauraunt, over to a table with a few flickering candles in the middle.

We sat down, Niall ordering some wine whilst I organised myself.

"Niall, I'm only 16!" I said, "I'm not old enough to drink!"

"Yeah well I am." He laughed, "And you look old enough, you can get away with it."

He winked at me, making me laugh as the waiter came over and poured Niall some whilst I kindly refused.

After we had ordered, we started talking some more, becoming more relaxed as the night went on.

"You can't be serious!" I laughed, "No way you can drink a whole 4L coke in 3 minutes!"

"I would prove it to you, but it isn't the most flattering thing." He chuckled, "But I might if you're lucky later on this week."

"Oh the joy!" I joked, taking another sip of my water.

He suddenly looked at me very seriously, picking up me hand from its place on the table and rubbing soothing circles over it.

"You know how much you mean to me, right?" He asked, switched his gaze between both my eyes.

"Well, from the fancy restauraunt, constant attention, jealousy, and the shower of expensive gifts you always give me, I could say yes, I do understand." I smiled, absentmindedly playing with my necklace.

"You still wear it." He smiled happily, lifting the four leafed clover necklace that he had given me at Clevedon Pier a few weeks ago.

"Of course." I said, very matter-of-factly.

"It's almost as beautiful as you are." He sighed, letting it drop back onto my chest again.

"Oh don't start this again." I laughed, "You know it makes me all go all funny."

"That's why I do it, princess." He smiled, making me try to hide to wild grin threathening to form from hearing him call me 'princess' again.

He brought back my attention by squeezing my hand gently again, getting me to look back into his eyes.

"The truth is, I need to ask you something."
