Morning

My eyes flung open and I sat up, screaming as hard as I wanted to scream when I was dreaming.

Ben and Rhiannon burst into the door, coming to my aid.

"Lara!"

I sobbed, and grabbed my head tightly.

Why does it have to be this way?

"I'll go get a wet towel." Rhiannon left the room to grab it, not really knowing what to do.

She hasn't experienced me in the morning yet.

Ben tried to get my attention to calm me down, but I could only see the images in my head of the face. I could only feel the pain of being ripped apart, the cold hands on my wrists and ankles. And I could only hear the screaming.

I rocked back and forth harshly, and Ben finally remembered what he had to do.

"take a photograph, it'll be the last" He sung close to my ear, but just enough to get me to hear it.

"Not a dollar or a crowd could ever keep me here."

The screaming stopped. I could hear his voice clearly.

"I don't have a past, I just have a chance" His voice soothed me, and the image of the face faded away.

"Not a family or honest plea remains to say,"

I sniffled, and sobbed quieter, and leaned closer to the sound.

"Rain, rain, go away, come again another day, all the world is waiting for the sun."

He put arms around me as the door started to open, I was assuming it was Rhiannon.

I kept my eyes closed, as they were before.

I started to breathe again, my breathing patterns stutter from all the hard sobbing.

"is it you I want, or just a notion of, a heart to wrap around so I can find my way around."

My eyes opened to a bright room, which burned my eyes for a few seconds because of the dark I saw before.

Ben lied me back down onto the bed, and Rhiannon placed the towel on my forehead, soothing the throbbing.

"Safe to say from here, your getting closer now,"

I sniffled again and Rhiannon gripped onto my hand.

"We are never sad, cuz we are not aloud to be"

"Rain, rain, go away, come again another day, all the world is waiting for the sun, rain, rain, go away, come again another day, all the world is waiting for the sun"

I looked over to Ben, he looked tired.

He smiled when he realized I was looking around, like he was relieved I was back to my normal self.

"Are you alright?" Rhiannon spoke to me, almost like she was afraid of me.

I gave her a glance, and nodded.

Rhiannon gave a shocked look at Ben.

"How the hell did you do that??" she was amazed.

"Did you not tell her yet?" I finally said, my throat scratchy from the screaming.

"I completely forgot to tell her before she fell asleep, I was basically in here all night with you, to make sure you were alright." Ben sounded super tired.

Rhiannon looked at Ben with a confused look.

"What do I not know?"

Ben looked at Rhiannon.

I turned towards her.

"Its a super long story. You probably won't believe half of it." I told her, and her confused look grew worse.

"What?"

"I'll tell you later" Ben told Rhiannon as he looked at me with cautious eyes.

"Are you sure your okay?"

I nod again, not knowing what to do. I felt embarrassed, but thankful they came to my aid. Well, at least Rhiannon tried to.

I sniffle as Rhiannon stands up.

"I think I might be burning breakfast. I'll tell you guys when it's ready." She leaves the room, closing the door behind her.

Ben gets up from his awkward kneeling position to sit back on the bed.

"You remembered" I smiled, feeling like the first time I have in a long time.

"Duh, how could I not? It might of took me a few minutes, but I remembered."

I sniffled again, grabbing a tissue from the nightstand.

"Im so sorry for that, by the way. I don't know how I could ever say thank you enough."

Ben snorted a little.

"You don't need to worry about saying thank you, or even feeling sorry. We don't judge here. This is a safe place to be." Ben looked around the room.

"Plus, you know what Im suppost to be doing, anyway."

I roll my eyes.

"That was fake, Ben."

Ben smiles.

"But it feels like I was made to do it."

I sigh heavily.

"I don't need you to help me 24/7"

"Well, apparently it seems you do! Looking at what JUST happened less than ten minutes ago."

I exhale sharply.

"Well, still. I don't need you to be my guardian."

Ben sighs a little.

"You have to realize this." Ben gets up from the bed and slowly walks towards the door.

"It isn't just you that realizes that I'm the only true person that could help you. Help with the Fallen Angels. Help calm you down." He mumbles just so I could hear it.

"Why do you have to be so stubborn?" I shake my head at him, and he smiles at me.

"Because I care about you, Lara. I care about you a lot."

"Now how about you get dressed and meet us for some breakfast?" He shut the door behind him, leaving just me in the bedroom.

I grumble as I stand up to open a dresser full of clothing that I didn't rightfully own to put them on.
