I woke up that morning, wedged in between Ben and the back of the couch, and falling in the couch cushions.

It was bright outside, the sky already blue. It was 10 in the morning.

The world seemed a little bit brighter. I guess being stuck on a couch in the morning with your best friend does that to you. At least for me.

"Lara.." Ben groans, squinting his eyes open.

I looked at him, smiling the slightest. It was so warm and comfy.

"Is Rhiannon home?" He said, looking at me, then looking away to sit up. I felt kind of disappointed.

He looked back at me, and laughing a little.

"Man, last night I was exhausted for some reason." Ben said, looking at the couch pillow he layed on.

I sit up too, and he zoned out for a few seconds.

"Rhiannon?" He yelled out, standing up and stretching. No one answered.

I stood up as Ben walked into his bedroom.

"Rhiannon.. Wake up!" Ben said as he closed the door behind him.

I sighed, looking out the window to see a cloud passing by. It looked beautiful outside, the leaves on trees varied in bright, warm colors. It seemed like a great day to spend outdoors.

I should really start to listen to Ben and his band. It sounded amazing when they played a song for me yesterday. I might really enjoy their music.

I wasn't ever really a pop-person. At all, really. I loved rock music. Nirvana was my favorite band. Ben showed me Nirvana in our senior year of highschool. He told me that music, ESCPECIALLY Nirvana, helped him cope with his horrible case of depression. It meant a lot to him.

I bet that Nirvana inspired him to start a band. So far, it was a success, apparently.

Rhiannon wobbled out of the bedroom, looking more exhausted than the rest of us.

"Rhiannon!" I stand up, walking over to greet her, "Good morning!"

She looked up at me and smiled wearily, then walking straight into the kitchen for some coffee.

Ben looked concerned for Rheannon. I guess I would understand why.

"Are you alright hun? What happened?" he followed her into the kitchen, standing behind her and gently placing a hand on her shoulder.

She looked back at him, a loving look in her eyes.

"Nothing Ben.. Nothing. I just came home really late last night, that's all." She said, reaching all the way to give Ben a big kiss on the lips.

Ben smiled a little after the kiss while Rhiannon went back to filling her coffee cup.

"you sure?" He snuggled his head into her shoulder.

"Yea, I'm sure." She smiled exhaustedly, going to the couch.

"Today I refuse to go to work." She said as she sat down, taking a big drink of coffee.

"Why is that? Today is Friday. Only one more and you have a week end ahead of you" Ben follows her and sits down right next to her.

"I'm tired of my fucking boss. I hate him." She shakes her head at herself as she stared at the carpet.

Ben didn't seem to understand.

"Why..? Is it just the same thing?" He looked at her and she looked back.

She hesitated, but sighed and nodded.

"Yea, I guess I get so tired of his bullshit." She looks away again, sipping her coffee.

I chose to look away also, not wanting to get too involved. It might be something she didn't want me to be so involved in.

We all sit there silently, hearing the birds sing as the sun shined outside.

Rhiannon eventually got up after her cup of coffee was empty, and surprisingly walked back to the bedroom, shutting the door behind her.

Ben looked kind of anxious. The way he would be if he felt if something was wrong.

"She must be exhausted, that's all. Just let her sleep." I looked over at Ben wearily, smiling a little as I scooted closer to him to pat his back. He looked at me with sad eyes.

"She'll be better in a few more hours. Just you wait." I smiled up at him again, patting his back one more time before standing up and stretching all the way.

"I guess you're right." Ben stood up too, and I walked into the kitchen to get my own cup of coffee, while Ben went into a shelf to get a lap top I've never seen before.

"What?? You have a laptop??" I looked over at him as he dusted the top of it off a little.

"Yea, duh!" He smiled at me, sitting down on the couch and opening it a little, the radiators starting to whirr. It reminded me of the old days.

"You don't remember?? This is my old high school laptop!" He waved me over, and I gasped at him.

"You still have that? Oh my god, Ben!" I looked at the screen, memories started to flood back all over again. The screen lit up black and green, and eventually you could see the home screen, a bright green field in a cloudless sky.

"Holy shit, this is the DEFINITION of the late 90's" He smiled at himself, bringing the mouse down to a little folder icon in the bottom corner.

"This is where ALL of it is, Lara. Pictures, documents, every thing." He looked at me, and I smiled widely.

"This is amazing." I looked at it, speechless. I couldn't believe he still had it.

He pulled up a photo album, and my heart exploded.

"Oh, god! There's me!" I laughed, pointed amusingly at a figure with the same features, just a little younger.

I noticed that this picture was tooken before I took my eye patch off during high school.

"Must of been a sophomore.." Ben smiled, clicking on the next icon.

"Oh, god!" Ben looks away from what was himself back at highschool. Around junior year.

I laughed. This was going to give us a while full of all kinds of memories.
