I walk into the kitchen with the clothing on that I chose, some black leggings that I remembered having last time I was here, and a nirvana shirt that was way too big for my size, obviously Ben's.
I sat down at the counter and I notice how swollen my eyes felt after crying so much last night and this morning.
Rhiannon was placing eggs and bacon on plates for us, and Ben seemed to be in the bathroom.
"Rhiannon?" I asked awkwardly, and she turned her attention to me.
"hmm?"
"Did he tell you yet?"
"No, he just went straight to the bathroom," she laughs a little, "Im guessing he really needed to go"
"Oh" I snort a little.
I hesitate, but I knew that I had to tell her eventually.
"Do you believe in angels?" I ask her quietly.
She looked confused.
"I guess so, why?" she walked over and placed two plates on the table, and walked over to grab the other.
"Well, this morning, angels had a big majority of the blame for my, uh, attack? I guess you'd call it?"
She sat down at the table with the plate, and looked at me, concerned.
"What?"
I sigh. This is gonna be harder than I thought.
Ben comes out of the bathroom and sits down.
"Thanks, Rhiannon" He takes a forkful of eggs and raises it to his mouth.
"I can't figure out how to explain to her" I turn my head to Ben, and my stomach rumbles as I grab a forkful of my own food.
He didn't seem to get it at first, but then his expression deepened.
"Oh."
Ben turned his head to Rhiannon, but put his attention back to his food, as if he was thinking what to say.
Eventually he looked back up and exhaled sharply.
"Lara has a very special thing inside of her."
Rhiannon looked more concerned than ever, but stayed silent as she waited for someone to continue the explanation.
"I have two souls." I said, not really said, more like a mumble.
"One of them is a normal soul, at least I think, and the other one," I laugh softly, "it's an absolute hell, maybe worse than the place."
Ben sighed, and Rhiannon still looked confused.
"So what does that have to do with this morning? And how did you get it?"
I took another bite.
"Everyone is born with a soul. You can tell what kind of soul you have with the color of your eyes. I know that sounds weird, but it's the truth."
Ben gasped, like he remembered something.
"Oh yeah! I forgot all about that." Ben puts down his fork.
"You have brown eyes, meaning you have a bright soul, when you die your soul is one that shines the brightest." Ben looked at Rhiannon.
"Blue is the most graceful, almost like water, green is a large one, it spreads out like a tree, dominating most of a person's body." I looked at Ben, and he nods rapidly as I sigh.
"But hazel is pretty rare. One of the rarest. There's only a few thousand of them in the entire world."
"Most hazel eyed people have very small souls, that are dull. It's sad because it means that when one dies, they are most likely the last ones to be noticed in the huge crowd of bright ones. They are unique in their own way."
