Smash. Well, there goes my phone. I kinda threw it at the wall. Everybody looked at me with wide eyes. “What?” I snapped.

“What.” Tom chuckled. “You just threw your phone at the wall. That’s what’s what.”

“I didn’t notice.” I said bluntly.

“Something’s wrong.” Ashlee said, looking at me.

“Really?” Sarcasm dripping off my tongue.

“What’s with you?” Nathan asked noticing my sour mood.

“Nothing.”

“Obviously something.” Tom said, looking at me more seriously.

“Did my mother say anything to you? Something big… life changing?” I asked him.

“No.. why?”

“No reason.” I shook my head.

“What?” Tom asked.

“Nothing.”

“What?” He said more sternly.

“Nothing.”

“What is it Tanya?” He hissed. I shook my head, shrugging a shoulder. He looked at my expression and I gave him a fake, sour smile. “Tell me. Or I will never leave.”

“I’m okay with that.”

“I’m not.” Ashlee gave me a look, and I just shrugged again.

“Seriously, what’s up?” Siva asked. His voice calm, unlike Tom’s.

“Nothing.” I said slowly. Sounding out each syllable. They all gave me disapproving looks. “N.O.T.H.I.N.G.”

“Y.A.S.A.B.L.” Ashlee said.

“That doesn’t spell anything…”

“You are such a bad lair.” She explained.

“So aren’t you.”

“I’m not the one lying right now.”

“I’m not lying.”

“Liar.”

“I need alcohol.” I muttered, standing up. Everybody else stood up and looked at me. I sat back down, and they did too. I stood up again, and they copied me. “Stop it!”

“Tell us what’s wrong.” Max said folding his arms over his chest.

“No.”

Tom looked at me, searching for a reason. “So there is something wrong.”

“Yes, there is.” I snapped, walking into the kitchen. Everyone followed me like I Moses leading the animals onto the friggin’ ark. I walked to the fridge and grabbed a beer, only to have Tom tear it from my hand. “I was gonna drink that.”

“Tell us what’s wrong.” He said softly.

“No.”

“Yes.”

“No.”

“Tanya.” He growled getting annoyed.

“Thomas.”

“Ashlee. Do something!” He said, turning from me. Ashlee stood in front of me. She didn’t say anything, and was trying to read my expression. Her eyes squinted, and darting all over my face. I folded my arms and looked at her, annoyed.

“She’s annoyed.” Ashlee said guys.

“You don’t say.” Nathan snapped.

“Shut up.” She waved a hand at him, and looked at me again. “Something to do … with … your mom?”
