I walked into the living room, dragging a hand over my face. “Bitch….” I mumbled.
“Tanya, if your gonna call Nathan a bitch, at least say it louder.” Ashlee said. I peeked through my hand, and she smiled at me.
“You’re the bitch.” Nathan snickered.
“You’re the bitch.” Ashlee snapped.
“Says the bitch.”
“You’re being a bitch by calling me a bitch.”
“Well, you’re being a bitch by being a bitch and calling me a bitch.” Nathan shot back.
“That makes no sense, bitch!” Ashlee threw her hands in the air.
“Shut up. You’re both bitches. Happy?” Max snapped, grabbing the remote and turning up the volume of the football game.
“Thank you Max.” I sighed, sitting next to Ashlee as Max gave a nod of your welcome. “Besides I wasn’t calling Nathan a bitch.”
“Ha!” Nathan said, pointing at Ashlee. “Bitch!” Ashlee flipped him off, shaking her middle finger in his face.
“Stop it! Or do you want another time out?!” I said eyeing them both. They laid back into their spots on the couch and stayed quiet. “That’s what I thought.”
“So, who were you calling a bitch?” Ashlee asked, looking at me.
“Bridget.” I sighed again. “I’ll tell you later.”
“Tell me now.”
“No.”
“Why?”
“Cause.”
“Cause why?”
“Cause I don’t want to tell you now!” I hissed quietly.
Ashlee stared blankly at me. “Tell me.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
“No.”
“Why?!”
“Cause!”
“Bitch.” Ashlee muttered.
“If anyone says that word again, I will throw you out the window.” Max groaned. “Idiots.”
“You sound like my mother.”
Everyone stayed quiet for a while. I got a few glimpses of Jay looking at me. I gave him a small smile every once in a while. I tried to get my mind off the what Bridget said. Maybe I should get to know him better? Wonder if he’s a good kisser? I was hoping she didn’t do anything. Even though me and Jay weren’t together together, but, I could see us going down that direction. And having problems with girls trying to break us up even before the relationship started, was making me freak out.
Ashlee looked at me, trying to read my facial expressions. I looked away from her awkwardly, and paid attention to the football game, when next thing I knew, Ashlee was on top of me, holding my arms, and staring at me. “Tell me!”
“What?! No!” I snapped, trying to push her off me. I could feel the boys’ eyes on us. I turned and there they were. Five widely opened and shocked pairs of eyes, looking at me and Ashlee.
“Tell me Tanya! Or I show them the pictures of Tom in the dress!” Ashlee threatened. I looked at Tom, and saw that he tensed.
“Tell her! Whatever the hell she wants to know, tell her!” Tom said quickly. “Now!”
