Tom’s POV.
Tanya’s eyes widened a bit and she hit Jay in the shoulder lightly. “Oh my god, Jay, what are you doing here?” She said in a high voice. She was horrible at lying and acting. If she did something bad, it was practically stamped on her forehead, and she would tell her mom, or my mom what she did before she broke down in tears, of course, that was when we were seven…
“Get in the house.” I said, moving to the side a bit. Tanya frowned, and walked into the house. She kicked off her shoes, as Jay walked in, avoiding eye contact with me. “Living room.” I pointed to the direction of the living room, and Tanya groaned.
“This is pathetic.” She mumbled as the three of us walked into the living room. She made herself comfortable on the sofa, and Jay sat on the sofa too, but with a space between them. He sat awkwardly, fiddling with his hands. I sat on the kitchen chair I dragged in when I was waiting for them to get home. I sat down and crossed my arms over my chest.
Ashlee walked in, and looked at the three of us, and turned away quickly. “No! You, stay here!” Tanya snapped, pointing a finger at her. Ashlee turned and sighed, sitting on the chair next to the couch. “Well?”
“Well, you need to tell me what’s going on with him.” I said, looking at Jay. He looked at me, then Tanya then down at his hands again.
“What is there to know?”
“You know what. Are you dating?”
“No.”
“Then what were you just on?!”
“A date Tom. We’re not dating. It was a date.” She snapped, crossing her arms over her chest, raising an eyebrow, challenging me.
“I don’t like it.”
“Like what?”
“You going on a date with him.. I thought it was kinda obvious..” Ashlee mumbled. Tanya shot her a look, and Ashlee sighed.
“It was one date.”
“I don’t like it.”
“Why?” She asked.
“Because.”
“You really need a better reason than that Thomas!”
“Don’t Thomas me!” I said. Jay was glancing between the two of us.
“Well it’s kind of your name!” She threw her arms in the air.
“We’re not here to talk about me. It’s about you!”
“What about me?!”
“You and him,” I pointed at Jay. “Dating!”
“Oh my god..” She said, rubbing her forehead. “We’re not dating. It was a date. One date. Just this one date.”
“I don’t want you on dates!” I said bolting up.
“Why Tom!” She stood up. “I’m twenty one, I can do what ever the fuck I want!”
