Kira's POV

Our arrival at the academy was filled with questions and a questioning glare when Tyler saw the bundle in my arms.

Maka, Soul, Black Star, Tsubaki, Death, Liz, Patty, Crona, Ragnorok, and Ryuu all swarmed around me. The only reason I knew Soul, Black Star, Death, and Ryuu were there was because the girls kept saying their names.

"Arika, if you would." I said, implying removing the block, while scowling. Arika sighed, then swiped her hand across the air, as if shooing a fly, and I could suddenly see and hear the boys. It was refreshing while also heartbreaking.

Soul blinked in surprise when he saw me looking at him. I turned to Icarus and smiled broadly when he reached up to play with my hair. I giggled, and I heard Soul whisper;

"If you wanted a baby, all you had to do was ask."

He pulled away from me, and I was scarlet red. Tyler suddenly pushed himself through the crowd, brushing Soul and Death aside rudely. "Get rid of it, Kira." He demanded through his teeth.

I glared at him. "Excuse me?" I replied, my voice on a dangerous edge of anger and Madness. "I said," He spoke again, "Get. Rid. Of. It."

Carefully, I handed the baby to Arika, who was struggling against hitting him as much as I was. Arika happily took Icarus and turned her back on us. She started into the building, so Icarus didn't have to watch me beat up a sorry excuse of a human.

"That bundle I just held in my arms," I said, "is a baby. Not. An. 'It'. Got that?" I hissed, pressing my finger into his chest. "His name is Icarus, and you will either treat him as if he were your nephew, or you will have nothing to do with Arika and I."

Tyler smirked sarcastically. "I don't care what its name is. You're going to get rid of it." He said, pressing my buttons. "I'm not gonna do shit." I growled.

I picked up my foot and pressed my heel into his chest while turning, putting all of my weight behind the kick. My fingers tingled with the adrenaline of battle as I watched Tyler fly through a five-foot-thick rock column.

It took him a minute, but he stood back up. A few seconds later, Tyler was in front of me. He leaned in close and growled, "If you're going to have a baby, it's only ever going to be with me. Got that?" I quickly pulled my knee up, pressing it into his groin, and smirked in victory when he groaned and fell to the ground in a fetal position.

"The first time you make a move on me, I'm going to personally cut your balls off. Got it? Good." I squatted next to him, bouncing on the balls of my feet. "Because the day I get impregnated with your monster of a child will be the day I die." I hissed low enough so the others couldn't hear me.

I stood back up and walked back into the building, shaking the tingles out if the tips of my fingers. Arika was in the lobby, trying to get Icarus to stop crying. "I think he's hungry, Kira." She said, handing him back to me. I smiled as I took him, wondering how old he was.

"Dad!" I cried, turning towards the infirmary and walking towards it. "Dad would give Icarus a check up, tell us how old he is, and then we'll know what to feed him!" I explained to Arika. She was quiet for a moment, then sighed.

"Kira, I think there's something weird with Icarus." She said. I turned to her instantly. "What do you mean? Is he hurt? Sick?" I asked. Arika shook her head. "No. Not physically weird. Supernaturally."

I blinked in shock, trying to process what she was saying. "I think," She said slowly, "Your overwhelming love for him has masked the supernatural aura around him." She paused, making sure I wasn't angry. "But it's definitely there." After a moment of thinking and processing, I nodded, and continued walking.
