Chapter Forty-Five: Quality Time Together

Today is one of those days in Winter where it's not that cold which is always best to go somewhere with your family or something and that's exactly what I'm doing. Peeta and I have been spending some time with Willow before the baby comes so she doesn't feel like we don't love her anymore because our doctor warned us that it usually happens especially if they've been an only child as long as Willow has and so today we're taking her bowling which is her favourite thing to do, we let her choose as well so it's something she's happy doing.

"Mommy, daddy. It's okay if you need the baby more than me. The baby won't be able to take care of themselves like I can" Willow says as we pull out of the driveway

"Willow, just because we'll be around the baby more doesn't mean we love you any less. But you can definitely help me with the baby and you can give the baby big sister cuddles because I know that the baby already loves you very much" I reply and she smiles brightly

"How do you know that?" She curiously asks

"Because the baby is always moving around when it here's your voice" I smile at her and she giggles

"Does the baby know that I love it too?"

"Of course! The baby knows you love them very much" I tell her

"Yay! That's really good" she says with a bright smile

"What do you think the baby is?" Peeta asks as we stop at a stoplight

"I really want the baby to be a boy" she replies

"You really want the baby to be a boy, huh?" I say

"Yeah! Kai has a baby brother and he really likes him" she explains making Peeta chuckle, Annie and Finnick had another baby like a month ago who is a boy obviously but they said when the baby was first born that Kai was a bit stubborn to meet him at first, they named him Caspian Brishon which I wasn't surprised at because they both love swimming and the ocean so seeing as Kai's name means sea then their next baby was bound to be named something relating to the sea or something related to it.

When we get inside the bowling alley and choose our shoes we find a section that we like, Peeta puts on both mine and Willows shoes seeing as I'm very pregnant but mainly because I don't have the amount of effort to lean down and put on the shoes. Throughout the night I try taking it easy seeing as I'm pregnant but I ordered the lightest bowling bowl there was to help me with being able to bowl

"This is so much fun!" Willow squeals sitting next to me as Peeta goes for his turn, does he know how sexy those jeans make him look? His butt looks amazing in them but I realise that we're in public and our daughter sitting next to me

"I'm glad you think so, Will bear. Just imagine when the baby is born it'll be you two against me and daddy" I reply

"Yeah! And we'll beat you and daddy because we'd be the best team!" She smiles and I do too, I just love how enthusiastic she is about her new younger sibling, I can't believe that Peeta and I made this little human that I never knew I could love as much as I do with Peeta

"You're going to be a great big sister" I admit kissing her cheek making her giggle, she stands as it's now her turn and of course being her mother's daughter she wants no help from Peeta or myself

"She's definitely her mother's daughter" Peeta chuckles

"Honestly, I don't know if that's a good or bad thing" I admit

"It's definitely a good thing, it's good because I have two Katniss's in my life and it couldn't make me any happier" he smiles

"You know.... I really want this one to be a boy this time" I sigh rubbing my belly

"I don't know.... I would mind having another little girl to spoil" he smiles

"But I want a little Peeta to be running around" I reply

"I guess we'll find out in just a months time" he chuckles, when I was pregnant with Willow I was absolutely terrified but now I'm carrying this baby better and at first I felt bad for being so terrified the first time around but the doctor reassured me that it was normal for me to feel the way I did because it was my first ever pregnancy which definitely made me feel much better.

We decide to finish up from bowling and go to get something to eat from the little restaurant that's near the arcade, Peeta orders Willow and I's food as we both sit at a near by table. Peeta comes back with our food immediately making Willow excited because they had fish and chips which is her favourite meal whereas I just went for the classic BLT sandwich with a side of fries seeing as surprisingly I don't feel that hungry right now

"Daddy?"

"Yes, princess?" Peeta replies looking at his daughter

"Could I get a puppy for my birthday?" She asks giving him her puppy eyes that usually always works on him

"We'll have to see won't we?" He smiles at her and she giggles, that girl has him wrapped around her tiny finger, Peeta looks at me as I give him a pathetic look at how he never says no to her, at all, he just gives me a smirk but I just roll my eyes.

"I guess we've really tired her out then" I chuckle as Willow sleeps on the floor, we were playing a game of Hedbanz till Willow just yawned and laid down to go to sleep stopping our game

"I guess we did. I'll take her to her room" Peeta sighs picking her up, while he's doing that I decide to pack away the game then put it back with the other games that we have, I sit on the couch watching TV as I wait for Peeta to come back down and he does shortly after to join me on the couch but I can't focus on the TV right now so I straddle Peeta's lap making him grin

"I've always loved our little.... moments" he admits kissing my neck

"As do I but these hormones are all over the place and my god I'm horny for you right now" I reply making him smirk as he dips his hand into my pants

"As long as it's me you're horny for" he whispers in my ear as he works me with his fingers

"Always, never anyone else" I admit breathlessly, I go to protest as his hand pulls out from my pants till he reminds me that we have a room and with that we both rush upstairs after switching off the lights down stairs and to our room where we finish what we started.
