Your heart dropped but you tried not to show it as you fumbled with your jacket pocket.
"you should've said that yesterday," your voice shook and you reached in your back pocket to retrieve the long velvet box, "I- um bought you this yesterday, i was going to give it to you for our anniversary but," you laugh bitterly spinning the box in your hand, "guess we won't be having one."
You can feel the tears forming and you shove the box in his hand before taking off so you could disappear into the crowded club.
Roy glances down at the box in his hand his frown deepening as he decides whether or not to open it. Sighing, he opens the box seeing a golden necklace with an arrow pendant and in the tiniest cursive font it says 'Arsenal'.
