I'm doing this music challenge where I press shuffle on my playlist and I write an imagine based on whatever song it lands on and then I pick a character by spinning a wheel.

I found myself dreaming
In silver and gold
Like a scene from a movie
That every broken heart knows

We were walking on moonlight,
And you pulled me close.
Split second and you disappeared,
And then I was all alone.

I woke up in tears,
With you by my side.
A breath of relief,
And I realized
No, we're not promised tomorrow.

Panting, you sat up swiftly, sweat dotting your forehead as you looked around the room frantically. Your panic only eased when you noticed Thea changing into her pajamas at the foot of your bed.

"What's wrong, Y/N?" she questioned, pulling down the rest of her shirt before crawling across the bed toward you.

"Nightmares. How was your mission?" you asked, pulling her in for a chaste kiss on the lips and cuddling into her side once she was settled under the covers.

"It was fine. What are you having nightmares about?"

"Oliver wearing pink," you joked, not wanting to discuss the dream you'd just had.

She laughed softly before pressing a small kiss to your forehead, laying on her side so she could drape her arm over your waist, effectively coaxing you back into a deep slumber.

So I'm gonna love you
Like I'm gonna lose you
I'm gonna hold you
Like I'm saying goodbye.
Wherever we're standing,
I won't take you for granted,
'Cause we'll never know when
When we'll run out of time.

So I'm gonna love you
Like I'm gonna lose you.
I'm gonna love you
Like I'm gonna lose you.

"Morning, babe," you chirped from the kitchen island, holding a coffee mug as you took a joyous sip.

"Morning," she croaked, stalking over to you and grabbing the mug from your hands, taking a long sip before you could even protest.

You rolled your eyes, but your smile quickly reappeared. Hopping off the island, you poured yourself another cup of coffee, once again sipping from it with glee.

"Why are you so happy this morning?" Thea asked, peering at you from over the edge of her coffee cup.

"Because you're the best girlfriend ever." You set your mug down and positioned yourself between Thea's legs as she sat on the counter in your place. "And I just love you."

Thea smiled at your words, pulling you in for a long, passionate kiss. You savored the moment, letting your eyes flutter shut as you reminisced about the tingle of her lips against yours.

"I love you too."

In the blink of an eye,
Just a whisper of smoke,
You could lose everything.
The truth is, you never know

"I'm glad," you grinned, drinking the remainder of your coffee before tossing the mug into the sink.

As you headed back to your shared bedroom to change into clothes for the day, your smile faltered. You glanced cautiously at the spot where you'd lain yesterday, haunted by the memory of your dream—the one where you'd seen Thea killed on a mission. Just the thought alone sent shivers down your spine.

You and Thea had been dating for over a year, and you couldn't imagine life without her. From the moment you started dating, the two of you had fallen into a routine you still followed today:

Wake up, drink coffee, go to work, eat dinner together after work, then she'd join Oliver for her vigilante duties.

Today wasn't supposed to be any different, but deep inside, you wanted it to be.

So I'll kiss you longer, baby,
Any chance that I get.
I'll make the most of the minutes
And love with no regrets.

Let's take our time
To say what we want.
Use what we got
Before it's all gone.

'Cause no, we're not promised tomorrow.

After getting dressed, you walked over to Thea, who was seated on the couch watching cartoons. Without hesitation, you straddled her lap and kissed her like it was the last time you'd ever see her. She gasped in shock but quickly reciprocated, parting her lips to give you access, which you gladly took as you ran your fingers through her hair while she gently stroked your back.

Smiling, you stood up, grabbed your bag, and headed for the door. "Love you, babe!" you shouted before walking out.

So I'm gonna love you
Like I'm gonna lose you.
I'm gonna hold you
Like I'm saying goodbye.
Wherever we're standing,
I won't take you for granted,
'Cause we'll never know when
When we'll run out of time.

So I'm gonna love you
Like I'm gonna lose you.
I'm gonna love you
Like I'm gonna lose you.

A few hours later

You sprinted into Arrow HQ, eyes wide as you spotted Thea lying unconscious on a medical table.

"Oh my god. Oliver, what happened?" you asked, turning to the muscular man, tears welling up in your eyes.

"It was—" He stopped, running his hands over his face in a desperate attempt to wipe away his own tears. "It was my fault. I told her to go out there."

"Oliver, do not give me that bullshit. This wasn't your fault, and you know it! What the hell happened?!" By now, tears were streaming down your face, and you made no effort to wipe them away.

Oliver opened his mouth to reply, but Felicity cut him off, her voice shaking as she explained, "It was Darhk. He used some kind of magic, and now Thea... she's like this. We don't know what's wrong with her yet."

"Oh god." You sobbed, stumbling over to where Thea lay, clutching her lifeless form as if your embrace could bring her back. You rested your head on her chest, listening to her faint heartbeat.

I'm gonna love you
Like I'm gonna lose you.
I'm gonna hold you
Like I'm saying goodbye.
Wherever we're standing,
I won't take you for granted,
'Cause we'll never know when
When we'll run out of time.

So I'm gonna love you
Like I'm gonna lose you.
I'm gonna love you
Like I'm gonna lose you

And you stayed there, lying against her, long after her heart stopped beating.
