I crossed my arms as I watched the television along with my coworkers. Leigh-Anne gave my arm a slight nudge and said, "I'm really proud of Harry for doing something about this." She said.

I nodded and returned my gaze to the screen. "I am too. I just hope this doesn't blow back in our faces."

Alex was currently being interviewed for the accusations Harry made regarding the two incidents he played out. So far, he was still being his arrogant, cocky self, unphased by any of the questions being asked.

"You've also recently started a relationship with Styles' ex, Adrienne Cavacci," the interviewer continued. "Is this not all a ploy to — I don't know, in some way hurt your teammate's career?"

Alex sighed and adjusted his position in his seat. "Well, can't a man just date a woman without it being questioned?"

"Well, when a man has hired people to deliberately injure someone else, along with paying a baseball player to hit that very same man with a baseball, it seems just the slightest bit coincidental that you go for his ex-girlfriend as the icing on the cake." The interviewer pushed, and I was extremely impressed with how he was handling this with Alex.

"Imagine if you were interviewing him," Louis spoke beside me. "I don't think you'd make it five minutes before beating the shît out of him."

"I doubt I'd even make it thirty seconds." I muttered. "I still cannot believe that he won't just own up to this. We know that he did it. Fionn literally called me to say that Alex paid him."

"But that was only for the baseball incident," he said. "Has Alex even admitted to being the reason Harry got jumped?"

I frowned and said, "Well, no, but who else would it have been? Alex is the only person I can think of who would do something like this."

He raised his eyebrows, crossing his arms. "Not Tanner?"

I looked at him with wide eyes. "Tanner — no, Tanner isn't capable of this. He's far too intimidated by Harry, and besides, we ended on pretty good terms when I moved out."

"Pretty good terms?"

"I mean, he apologized and said that Harry was very lucky to have me." I said quietly. "There's no way he would've hired men to hurt him. . . at least, I don't think."

The interview with Alex was cut short, so even if he were to admit that he wasn't involved in the first incident with Harry, we weren't going to find out.

I went back to my desk feeling betrayed, confused, and just hopeless. I wanted Alex off the team for what he did, but Harry told me his coach was worried that kicking Alex off the team before the Series would result in a loss of the next game, not even allowing them to reach the Series.
