She stood in the doorway, with one hand on her hip and the other on the doorframe. She had long brown hair that flowed down her shoulders and onto her arms, with a prominent streak of blue on her left side. She smiled widely at me with perfectly straight teeth and defined cheekbones. Her eyes were large, showing off her beautiful brown eyes. Judging by the height of the doorway and my own height, she measured in at 5"5'; About my height. Because of her size, I can guess she is only about 13 or 14 years old. "Hi" She spoke, in a cutesy high voice, waving the hand that was previously attached to the doorframe. "Hi" I say softly, then realizing I had my mouth open the entire time staring at her. "I'm Callista2." She says, her perfect teeth showing again. She starts walking toward me and I stand up to greet her. "Hi Callista2, I'm Roger." I reply, swallowing hard and offering her my hand. She takes the offer and we shake hands. Her skin is soft and warm, and feels small in my large hand. She's still smiling with her perfect teeth, and I let go of her hand. "So this is new huh?" She says, gesturing to the two bedrooms. "Yeah, I was pretty surprised too yesterday" I say, laughing nervously. She must've caught on to my shyness, because she then said, "You don't need to be shy around me. It looks like we're going to be living together for a while so we might as well get to know each other sometime; Why not today?" She speaks, smiling still. "Okay then, just take a seat on the couch" I say, waving my hand in front of the furniture as to show it off. "Thank you" She smiles widely before sitting down in the middle of the couch. Still, I am stunned that The Guild would even allow for opposite gender roommates. I suppose that if you tried anything, The Guild would eventually find out and you'd be sent straight to The Room. Callista2 pats the seat next to her, and I sit down. "So," She says, flipping her hair to the back of her head, away from her face. "How long have you been here?" She asks politely, making me feel almost as if I'm in a therapy session. "In the facility or on the Amateur Level?" I ask. "In the facility" She responds, smiling again. I don't know what she could always be so happy about, there's not a lot to do here other than socialize and watch television. "I've been here for all that I can remember, which is only about two years." I say. "What about you?" I continue, trying to match her enthusiastic personality with a smile. She smiles back, clearly happy that I finally showed some emotion. "Well I too have been here all my life, but the last thing I remember was about a year ago, give or take a month." She answers, her white teeth showing. "Oh cool," I smile back at her. "How old are you by the way? You have one of the faces like you could be 12 or 20" I say, laughing. She laughs as well, and then replies, "I'm 16 actually" She says, smiling. "How about you?" She continues. "I'm also 16" I say, smiling widely to know that we share an age group. "Callista2, that's an unusual name, and there is more than one of you?" I say, trying to make conversation. "Yeah, I suppose. The other Callista is a Serpent on the Specialized level I think.." She says, her words drifting off. "I wish I could know if there were any other Rogers in this place. How did you find out about the other Callista?" I ask. "I sent a letter to The Guild. They usually respond if you ask nicely enough" She smiles, before standing up from the couch. "It was nice talking to you, I'm going to go check my tablet to see my classes for the day. Hopefully they aren't as grueling as The Bottom." She says, before walking over to her bedroom. "By the way, the tablet on this level is turned on by waving your hand over the screen. Took me a while to figure that out." I say, smiling and looking back at her. Callista2 glances back at me and smiles warmly. "Thanks for the advice" She says, waving goodbye and walking into her bedroom, shutting the door behind her.
