Callista2 and I stand in front of the metallic white elevator doors, waiting for them to open. The rest of the group is waiting behind us, but from a distance, awaiting our descent so they can pry open the doors, and see what is above us. The elevator dings before opening, but when the doors do slide open, there are people in the elevator already. We step inside with the strangers, and look at our friends as the doors slide to a close. All Callista2 and I can do now is wait at The Bottom for a few minutes before going back up. I let out a sigh and relax my shoulders before glancing at Callista2. She looks at me with silence and nervousness written all over her face. I nod slightly to her, letting her know subconsciously that we will be fine. She turns back to face forward and smiles faintly. I face forward as well as the ding rings, and everyone in the elevator steps out into the Main Living Space. Immediately when I exit I step to the side, and Callista2 joins me against the wall. I look at my watch, 4:10. “How long did Leixia4 say to wait before going back up?” I ask her, leaning casually against the wall. “She didn’t say, but I would assume we could wait a few minutes.” She replies, replicating my pose and putting one foot against the wall as well. “Okay, we can stay here until four fifteen” I say. “What time is it now?” She asks. “Four eleven” I say, looking at the minute hand tick by again. “Alright” Callista2 sighs out, slipping down and sitting next to the elevator. I join her and sit down as well. “What do you think they’ll see?” I ask myself aloud, looking at all the people in the Main Living Space. “I don’t know. Even if they do find something what will we do about it?” She asks. “Investigate more?” I suggest, shrugging. “We can’t investigate too much or The Guild will catch on” She responds. “That might not be a bad thing” I reply, turning my head to the left and looking at her. The brown curls at the ends of her hair concave to form a beautiful wave, and the blue streak sitting quietly on the opposite shoulder. “What do you mean?” She asks, also looking at me. “Chris3 and I were talking today, and he mentioned that The Room might not be death, but something else.” I whisper. “I doubt it, Overseers come out of the room with blood on them” She looks at the ground and faces the crowd again. “I’m just saying it’s a possibility” I say, and pull out my watch again. 4:14. “We should get going” I say, standing up and brushing off my white pants, even though I know for a fact they aren’t dirty with dust. “I agree” Callista2 says, also standing up beside me. I turn on my heel and hit the “Up” button on the elevator, and the doors open immediately with a ding. We both step inside, and she clicks the number 2 on the list of floors. The number illuminates and we ascend, the ride only taking a few seconds. The doors slide open and reveal the group, standing where they were before, but now huddled in a circle. I look to Callista2 and she shrugs, stepping outside first, and walking over to the rest of the group. I follow closely behind her, still not sure about the situation. When we get closer, Tiffany turns and looks at us, and gestures frantically for us to go over to her. We obey quietly and stand next to her, looking at the thing they are all huddled around. “We looked at the elevator shaft, and no, there are no floors higher than the Specialized” Tiffany says before continuing. “But, we did find this” She says, pointing at an object in the middle of the crowd. As we break the circle of girls, I see it. The thing that will change the way I look at this facility.
