The Overseer grabs her firmly by the arm, resulting in a yell from Callista2. “What are you doing?” She screams at him, trying to fight him off. “Sorry, I have orders.” The Overseer replies, pushing a button on his suit, on his forearm. His entire arm illuminates a deep green color, and has some sort of aura around it. Callista2’s eyes grow wide as she sees his arm, as do mine. His arm pulses the green shade, as he winds up for a punch at Callista2. Without thinking, I lunge at him, and although my stature is nothing to him, he does tumble over from the weight. “Go!” I yell to her, as I’m on top of the Overseer, his arm still glowing. “Big mistake Roger” He says, shoving me off of him. I stumble and stand up, squaring up to him. He’s a good two inches taller than me, and I can tell I will lose this fight. But if it gives Callista2 enough to get away, it’s worth it. The overseer takes one step toward me, and swings his green arm toward me. I didn’t have enough time to react, and his fist connects with my chest, and sends me flying back a few feet into the wall. I black out before I hit the ground. Darkness, everywhere. I can’t see for my life, and at this moment, I don’t know if my life is even here anymore. That Overseer might have just punched me into oblivion. What was than green aura around his forearm? It knocked me out with the first sign of contact, or, rather it might have killed me. I hope Callista2 got far enough to blend in, although that’s unlikely since the “fight” between the Overseer and I only lasted for a few minutes. Wait...I feel something. Something is pulling my leg. I look down, but still, all I see is darkness. My leg keep being pulled, and eventually the sensation turns into falling. Falling, falling, deeper and deeper into the abyss. My body is limp, falling and falling, like skydiving, but with no wind resistance. Just emptiness. The thing pulling on my leg leaves, and I am left with nothing but the thought of my stomach being in my throat. I yell out into the blackness, and just as I do my eyes flutter open, revealing a dark room. I look down toward my feet, and see that I am restrained in some sort of gurney. I fight against the ropes connecting me to the gurney, but nothing gives, and I’m just left with rope burns. I look to my right and see a wall with a door and a single window in the door, showing a hallway on the other side. If only I wasn’t restrained, I would be able to just leave. I shake the thought because of the impossibility of it, and then look to my left and see someone I would rather not. Callista2 lays on another gurney, tied up as well. I don’t have anything covering my mouth, so I whisper softly. “Callista2? Are you alive?” No answer, but that was expected. She could be unconscious like I was. I sighed and looked back toward the ceiling, thinking of where I was, and then I saw them. Through the window in the door, in the hallway. Vents on the ceiling. Does this mean that I am in The Guild? Or worse...Am I in The Room? Or is this some other unknown place? I try to just concentrate on my breathing, and not think about all the terrible possibilities. “Roger?” I hear from my left, in a coarse, raspy voice. “Callista2? You’re alive” I smile, even in the circumstances. “Where are we?” She asks, noticing her restraints as well. “I don’t know, but I have a feeling we won’t be anywhere after this.” I reply back, looking back at the door again. “What do you mean? How did we get here?”. “I got here because the Overseer that came into our room punched me, and sent my soul to who knows where, and I only recently woke up. What about you?” I ask. “Same.” She answers. “What happened?” I ask again, looking back at her. “Well I ran after you said to, and I ran until I reached the end of the hallway. Then I turned the corner and an Overseer hit me with that green arm thing”. “So they were waiting for you?” I say. “I guess so. But anyway, we need to get out of here as soon as possible.” She says, struggling with the ropes. “No, really?” I reply sarcastically, also squirming in my ropes. The door to my right opens suddenly with a screech, and I cringe. I can’t see who was standing there, because of the light behind them. “Hello Roger, hello Callista2. I will be your personal assistant throughout this whole process.” He stands still in the doorway, and his voice bounced off the walls of the small room. “Through what process?” Both Callista2 and I ask, almost simultaneously. “You will find out soon.” He replies, walking closer to us. “First, do you see that door over there?” He says, gesturing to the door to my left. I hadn’t noticed it before, I was too concentrated on Callista2. I nod. “Well, that door leads to the facility run by The Guild,” He says, and then walks over to Callista2. “Now do you see that door there?” He says, pointing toward the door he came from. I nod again. “That door, leads to the process which I will be helping you with. This will be fun, I’m sure you will both enjoy it.” I can see shadows cast on his face from the hallway, and a grin grows slowly and menacingly across his face.
