My Sister Is Not For Lovin Wayland

Magnus was wise in the ways of many things, one was reading people, it was what had allowed him to see Jace Wayland's instant fascination with (Y/N). At first he thought of it as quaint that she, like himself, would find her way into the midst of Shadowhunter on goings.

Until Jace began to become a little more than fascinated with you and you, in turn, seemed to become more and more curious about the blond while still wanting to keep a good distance between the two of you.

"(Y/N), as much as I love being your caretaker I must insist that you do something other than curl up in bed with a book." Magnus practically sang as he swept open the floor length linen curtains.

"I have forever to do whatever I wish; I see no problem with staying in bed." You mumbled from under the thick duvet.

"Well if it will encourage you to stop your moping about, my Shadowhunter's coming and he plans to bring his friend." Magnus smiled to himself as he left the room, knowing you would be dressed and by his side in a matter of minutes.

"I wasn't moping and I don't care about your silly Shadowhunters." You grumbled. He smiled as you walked beside him, your bed clothes seeming to melt as they flowed into an entirely new outfit. As the two boys approached Magnus' doorway you opted to slump onto one of the sofas and turned back to the book you still carried in your hands.

Your eyes rolled and you looked to the blond who had swung an arm around the back of the sofa, his hand teasing the ends of your hair that had fallen over your shoulder.

"Hello witchy how are you?" Jace muttered. You huffed at him, hiding your smile by biting your bottom lip, he grinned and ducked his head to he could see your face.

"Need I remind you that my sister is not for lovin, Wayland." Magnus muttered when he glanced over at the young Shadowhunter who was gazing at you intently. You looked over at Magnus only to come nose to nose with Jace who gently rubbed the tip of his nose against yours.

"Sorry magic man not interested in getting under her skirt, I am however, very interested in what (Y/N) is reading." Jace quirked an eyebrow at you. He spent the entire time that he and Alec were in Magnus' loft completely ignoring either men, choosing to watch over you instead.

Every time you glanced up at him he smiled brightly and wink. When he and Alec left he blew you a kiss, making Magnus watch you curiously as you blushed, making no other action to address the Shadowhunter.

You were sat alone, dangling your feet in the large pool of Magnus' current penthouse, when a hand holding a thick book appeared over your shoulder. When you turned you found Jace smiling brightly at you.

"I know you can probably I dunno... zap one up but I found it in a store and thought you might like it, it's kinda old and smells like damp books." He smiled nervously as you took the book from him and looked it over, nodding appreciatively as you opened it to the first page.

"It's an old Mundane fairy-tale." You mumbled. He sat next to you, causing you to jump, not realising he'd still been stood next to you.

"(Y/N) ... can you..." You frowned and looked at the now beet red Shadowhunter, his demeanour had you on guard, you'd never seen a Shadowhunter lost for words before and it was certainly unnerving.

"Are you all right Mr Wayland you're pink... and stuttering, you also look very hot." Your words had him grinning again and caused his usual slick character to jump start.

"Well your pretty hot to, you could cool me down though." His smile slid from his face when you eyed him suspiciously.

"You gonna read the book... I'll behave." He mumbled that last part with a frown. With a nod you lent back and opened the book, reading aloud to the boy who listened intently, eventually moving to lay next to the pool with his head in your lap as he trailed the hand that wasn't resting on his chest in the water.
