Liz suddenly stops, checks she's in the right place and calls to Alex, "I can get there faster than you."
Alex turns around and answers, "Sure using magic."
"I won't use magic if you answer this question correctly." She looks Alex in the eye and asks, "Which of the twins do you like?"
Alex blushes and lowers his gaze, "do I have to?"
"Yes, you do."
"How would you know if I'm lying?"
"You have to hold this pen, it changes color if you lie or tell the truth", she adds with a smile. "I won't tell you what color though.”
"Fine." Taking the pen he says, "I like..." Suddenly his phone rings and while taking it out he grins. "Sorry I have to take this."
He turns around and walks out of earshot before she can answer. Liz screams at him while Alex talks on the phone, "I know it's Lexi you're talking with."
Alex turns around and smirks at her, then returns to his conversation. Liz takes out her phone and texts Robert and Sabrina to meet her tomorrow morning. Alex returns and tells Liz he's ready just when she put her phone away.
"Okay let’s try this one more time." She looks him in the eye again and asks, "which of the twins do you like?”
"I like..." and suddenly Liz's phone rings. She looks at the caller, sees its Robert and all her anger melts away. Liz answers the call and tells Alex she'll be right back.
"Hey Rob, what's up?"
"Hey Liz, I wanted to ask you something."
"Sure."
"Could you help me with the party after I meet you tomorrow?"
"Okay", she replies trying to contain her happiness to see Robert all day. She hangs up before Robert could say anything else.
"Let's continue, for the third time. Which one of the twins do you like?"
"I like... isn't it obvious?"
"Just answer the question."
"I like Lexi... there hall y now?"
"Very. Lexi you can come out now."
Lexi appears from behind a tree really happy and blushing, since she heard the whole conversation as planned.
She walks up to Alex and takes the pen, then looks at her and says, "It looks like he was telling the truth now it's my turn." Looking at Liz and then Alex she says, "I like ice cream... and Alex." The girls stare at his flustered face, Lexi laughs and hooks arms with Alex.
"Well I'll leave you two, have to go anyways", says Liz as she walks away, happy for Lexi that there plan was success. After walking for a while she snapped her finger and went to her room.
The next day Liz, Alex and Sabrina were in front of Robert's house and once he came out, they talked about the party until the bus came to pick them up. The boys were wearing similar outfits today, both had shorts on but Alex's were blue with a white shirt while Robert's were red with a black shirt. Liz had black leggings and a long yellow shirt, Sabrina had jeans and brown shirt. Before they could get in, the twins and another girl she didn't recognize, were trying to catch the bus.
"Wait up! Tell the bus driver to wait for us", called Lexi, she was wearing a pink skirt with black leggings and a black/pink shirt. April was wearing a simple blue summer dress.
While Liz was trying to figure out if she knew the girl, Alex was waving Lexi over and Robert was trying to get the bus driver to wait for the others. The girl was a red-head with freckles and wearing skinny jeans, white converse and a loose blue shirt. They finally arrived when Liz noticed the girl had the same eye color and smile as Robert.
"Hi my name is Gabriela, is nice to meet you all", the girls says.
"Hi, I'm Robert. This is Liz, Alex and Sabrina”, Robert says introducing everyone.
When she saw Robert, Gabriela did a double-take, but quickly smiled.
"Let's continue this on the bus", said Liz in a tight face.
As everyone got in, before Robert, they hid behind the seats, Liz taking Gabriela with her, to explain.
