"Lenny! Oh my gosh you're not dead!" Fel got off her bed and hugged me.
"How can you be so sure that you're not just hugging my ghost?" I smirked.
"Does that mean I can take steal that new pillow you bought yourself last week? Because ghosts don't really need pillows-- or beds for that matter? Lenny! Do you realise what this means?!" She pulled away and grinned.
"What does it mean, sister who would be more than happy to discover that I'm not alive anymore?" I crossed my arms.
"I can finally ask a normal human being to be my new flatmate! Someone who doesn't blow a fuse every seven days! Lenny, please tell me it's just ghost you now!"
"Wow Fel, yep, definitely feeling the love, thank you." I rolled my eyes at her.
She laughed. "Hey, you started it."
"You were surprised to see me alive!" I groaned.
"You don't know, do you?"
"Know what?" I raised a brow at her.
"Santa Slay escaped." News travels fast around here, doesn't it?
"Well at least he isn't a complete idiot." I muttered under my breath as I walked to my room.
"But I'm still proud of you for letting the authorities know where to find the kids!" I heard Fel call out.
"That's the only part of it that doesn't make sense to me."
"Lenny! Your phone!" She called out again.
"I'm coming!" It was struggle getting my costume off--"Lenny! Your phone isn't going to receive itself!"
"One minute!" I finally managed to get out of my costume and wore my hoodie and sweats again.
"Why's our highly unpredictable, almost sociopathic mother calling you?"
"I don't know Fel! Maybe because it's Christmas time?!"
"Right, do you want me to receive?"
"Yeah! I think I'm going to take a while here!" My costume was Felicity's doing. She thought there was no way I was going to fight criminals in a pair of very comfortable sweats and a hoodie.
It became a part of Light Beam's identity very soon. So I was stuck with it. Not that I really minded but sometimes, sometimes it got to me.
"It wasn't mom." Fel glared at me as soon as I walked out.
I smirked.
"You just made me deal with some random ex of yours! Lenny, there will be revenge!"
"Which ex was it?"
"What do you mean which ex? The one who's number is saved as 'mom'!"
