"Is she always sleeping like that?"

"Oh you think that's bad, wait till you see her awake. She captures the essence of what anyone would be satisfied to call, a zombie."

"I heard that!" I groaned as I sat up.

"Told you she's not dead." Fel grinned.

"Why is there a stranger in my room?" I pointed to the guy who seemed rather fascinated by my disheveled appearance? Or maybe he just liked staring at people?

"Lenny, this is my almost boyfriend, almost boyfriend--this my twin, Lenny. Now that we've got our introductions out of the way, Lenny, would be so kind as to make us some breakfast? It's your turn."

I glared at her.

"Get out of here. I have a job to do."

"Ah yes, the infamous paperwork?"

I nodded.

"Alright, we'll get you something on our way back, let's go Almost boyfriend." Fel was very careful when it came to dating guys. She knew it was a big deal for her. She cared too much so she took her time when it came to deciding if she really wanted to care about someone.

I shook my head and picked up my phone, dropping myself back onto my bed.

I stared at the utter lack of notifications and sighed.

Well, there was one text from Mr. Brenner telling me that I had a meeting with him in thirty two minutes but I chose to ignore it.

Mr. Brenner was kind of a pain in the butt.

I say that with utmost respect for the man.

He was in charge of all minor superhero-types-- but not too minor, those cases were handled by his subordinates.

There was a sort of hierarchy that even superheroes had to follow. It was based solely on their powers and your success rate did not depend on the power you had-- rather on your use of it.

The hierarchy only determined the type of training you received.

For example, Dark Thunder would be a trained differently than I would. Since his powers were easier to determine and understand, he'd be trained with less care and more rules.

As your powers got more dangerous, your training got more painful and much less-- human?

It was almost sad? But I guess it was necessary?

My powers weren't great but that was actually something I didn't mind. It was probably the best part about all of this.

I didn't have to worry about accidentally killing someone because I was unable to control my powers--nope, all I had to worry about was accidentally blowing a fuse--which wasn't half as bad as Felicity made it out to be!
