Y/N pov:

A whit of sunlight crept through my window as I noticed it was snowing. The cold air left my body feeble as I tried to call for my butler. He opened the door and closes it shut behind him. I hear glass breaking against the cold floor downstairs. The butler told me not to go downstairs because my parents are quarreling. I asked the butler to get me some tea because I felt a sickness coming onto me. As he left to do my bidding I was endeavored to get out of bed and got to the window. I sluggishly walked to the window but before I got there I heard a loud noise towards the gate of my families house. Getting to the window I saw that the front lawn was overrun with many men in suits. I knew what my parents line of work was so this scene was not new to me. Their job was perverted they did whatever they wanted to get a few dollars in their pocket, but that's just the world we live in. I heard men screaming outside my door. One was my father he sounded enraged. My father said "...you stated your allegiance with us...!" I only heard a small piece of his sentence when suddenly gunshots go off. I looked outside to see the once white covered field turn into a sea of blood. "How could this happen" I said to myself as I walked towards my bed. I knew this day would come but I did not think it would happen so suddenly. The door to my bedroom opened and a man walked inside. I saw my parents lifeless body on the floor behind him. 6 more men came in and stood beside him. "Hello Ms. L/n your parents is no longer with us. Needless to say we will be your new care providers. Just do as we say and no harm will come to you in any way". Looking up at the man who was talking to me I could not wrap my head around this situation. "What did my parents do to deserve this?" I knew my parents did a number of awful things but murder could not have been the only option. "Your parents were a foolish pair. They were stealing more than 50% of our families business that we so graciously let them join. They signed the contract without reading the criteria, but what they did know was if they did anything to jeopardize the business we would take their fortune, life and offspring." another man said while cleaning of his gun. I knew my parents were money hungry but to gamble me off did not sound like them. Then again there was times when they treated me harsh, so I guess trading me for money would be something that they would do. I walked to the window again to see the field, all the guards were killed. Their body lying on the cold ground they once protected. It made me sad to think about their family who could not see them again, but I hold back my tears because this is only the beginning of my new life.
